Cit o-rwerett Water Treatment Plant Portal 4 Improvements I Scope of Work ■ Replace/upgrade instrumentation (level elements/transmitters in channels). Basis of Design and DOH Project Report • Contact the Washington State Department of Health to refine expectations and schedule for submittals to DOH for project approval. • Develop a Basis of Design Report(BODR)that also meets the requirements of a project report defined by the DOH Water System Design Manual (June 2020). The BODR will define the design criteria for structural, process mechanical, building mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation and controls disciplines. • Conduct workshop with Plant Staff to review the basis of design for the Portal 4 improvements. Everett Responsibilities • Provide input on the recommended improvements. • Review and provide comments on the BODR/DOH project report. • Participate in site visit and workshop. • Provide additional as-build drawings or plant records as necessary. Task Assumptions • Survey will not be required for this level of design. Electrical service improvements will be sketched on Google Earth for conceptual level purposes. If it is decided to provide a new electrical conduit to the Portal 4 building, possibly via a new route, this will require an amendment to include survey. • No new work will be completed under this task.Task 300 work was completed under Amendment 1 prior to its execution. • Development of the geotechnical and survey scopes of work beyond the material presented in the BODR are the liability of BC and not carried out under this Portal 4 scope of work or budget. Meetings • One site visit to field verify site conditions. Assume conducted by 6 BC staff with a duration of 2 hours on-site. • Workshop listed above.Assume attended by 7 BC staff, with a duration of two hours (basis of design workshop held on September 8th, 2021). Work Products • A draft and final BODR/DOH Project Report summarizing the design criteria and parameters for the project(maximum 25 pages). • Basis of design report Sections 2.2.2, 2.3.2, 3, and Appendix D and E. Task 400 Preliminary and Intermediate Design Activities/Approach: Develop design documents for improvements to Portal 4 based on the recommendations from Tasks 200 and 300. Specific task activities include: • Develop technical specifications. • Coordinate technical specifications with City provided Division 0 and 1 specification. • Develop design drawings.The anticipated list of drawings is to include the following sheets: (1) Cover (1) Sheet index (1) Location map (close up from Plant to Portal 4 as well as wider view of plant location) (1) General Legend Page 5 of 13
