The location and type of heating system should be specified per IRC Section R303.9 (WAC). <br />Gas appliances are prohibited in the locations specified in Section G2406. <br />b. The location and type of hot water system should be specified in the drawings per IRC <br />Section R306.4. Seismic restraints should be specified for tank water heaters per IRC <br />Section M 1307.2. <br />21. Plan Note 2 on Sheet 3 incorrectly identifies the 5/8 GWB as provided one -hour protection. This <br />should be removed. See Section R106.1.1. <br />22. Details for the construction of the new entry walls at the exterior door should be provided. The <br />details should include construction at the top and bottom plates, and where the walls abut the <br />existing foundation wall. See Sections R106.1.1 and R317.1. <br />23. The one -hour floor -ceiling assembly includes multiple penetrations for the lighting and exhaust <br />fans that should comply with Section R302.4.2. Details should be included in the drawings <br />addressing the following comments: <br />a. The bathroom exhaust fan should be provided with a chase maintaining the minimum 1- <br />hour protection. Alternatively, the fans may be provided a 1-hour rated ceiling radiation <br />damper per Exception 2. <br />b. The kitchen exhaust fan should be provided with a chase maintaining the minimum 1-hour <br />protection; a radiation damper cannot be installed at this fan. Alternatively, the duct should <br />directly penetrate the exterior wall below the one -hour assembly. <br />c. A detail should be provided for penetrations of the ceiling membrane that comply with IBC <br />Section 714.4.2 Exception 2. Alternatively, a listed assembly should be provided for each <br />proposed unit in the ceiling per IRC Section R302.4.2 Exception 2. <br />This review has been performed for general compliance with the building codes as adopted and <br />amended by the state of Washington and the city of Everett. Corrections and comments made <br />during the review process do not relieve the project from compliance with code and permit <br />requirements.
