Provide section drawing of proposed dwelling unit to show it meets minimum ceiling height. <br />REVISED SHEET 6 <br />2. The same "Proposed Basement" floor plan is shown on 2 different sheets. Please remove one of the <br />floor plans for clarity. REVISED SHEET 6 (Duplicated Plan removed) <br />3. Smoke alarms shall be installed not less than 3 feet horizontally from the door or opening of a <br />bathroom that contains a bathtub or shower. R314.3 IRC (WA State amendment). REVISED SHEET 3 <br />(Smoke Alarm Eliminated) <br />4. Installation near cooking appliances. Smoke alarms shall not be installed in the following locations. <br />a. Ionization smoke alarms shall not be installed less than 20 feet from a permanently installed <br />cooking appliance. <br />b. Ionization smoke alarms shall not be installed less than 10 feet horizontally from a permanently <br />installed cooking appliance. <br />c. Photoelectric smoke alarms shall not be installed less than 6 feet horizontally from a permanently <br />installed cooking appliance. REVISED SHEET 3 (Smoke Alarm Eliminated) <br />5. Provide a handrail at the stairs to the basement complying with Section R311.7.8 IRC. Show handrail <br />and requirements on plans. REVISED SHEET 3 <br />6. One -hour fire -resistance rated construction is required between dwelling units. Where floor <br />assemblies are required to be fire -resistance rated by Section R302.3, the supporting construction of <br />such assemblies shall have an equal or greater fire -resistance rating. Provide details and/or section <br />drawings for all fire -rated assemblies specific to this structure. Including the supporting structure(s). <br />REVISED SHEET 3 & 6 <br />7. Update Energy Code references to 2015 WSEC on all sheets. UPDATED ALL SHEETS <br />8. Please change description of the work on the site plan from "Proposed Additional 1 Bed Basement <br />Unit", to reflect actual scope of work, which is converting a SFR into a Duplex. REVISED SHEET 1 <br />9. Provide all four elevations and section drawings for the proposed Duplex without shading.
