<br /> 2. All required potholing to verify locations of other utilities in or near the
<br /> trench lines.
<br /> 1 3. Trench excavation, installation of pipe, and connections to existing
<br /> pipes, including fittings, couplings, and blocking, furnishing, placing
<br /> and compacting pipe bedding, furnishing, placing and compacting
<br /> ' suitable native material for trench backfill and furnishing, placing and
<br /> compacting imported backfill material. No extra payment shall be
<br /> made for removing, loading, hauling, and disposing of displaced and
<br /> ' unsuitable material.
<br /> 4. Maintenance, restoration and/or relocation, if required, of existing
<br /> culverts, storm drainage pipe, other utilities and structures affected by
<br /> construction that are to remain.
<br /> 5. Ethafoam pads or sand backfill between water main and other pipes.
<br /> 6. Furnishing, placing, and compacting Gravel Backfill for Drains around
<br /> the 6-inch footing drain pipe as shown on the Drawings.
<br /> 7. Furnish and install flap gate or flap valve as shown on the Plans.
<br /> 8. Maintenance of existing utilities.
<br /> 9. Extra depth, including excavation, backfill and compaction required to
<br /> ' clear known buried utilities or other known obstacles.
<br /> 10.Work required to avoid unexpected or unforeseen utilities shall be paid
<br /> for under the Bid Item "Resolution of Utility Conflicts". The costs for
<br /> pot-holing and excavation required to determine exact depths and
<br /> locations of other utilities shall be included with this Work with no
<br /> direct compensation made.
<br /> ' Bid Item 19. DI Pipe, Class 52, 36-Inch Diam.
<br /> Per linear foot pipe measurement shall be based on the slope distance from
<br /> ' point to point. The point of beginning or ending of measurement in any
<br /> particular run of pipe shall be the vertical intersection of the centerline of the
<br /> pipe measured with the centerline of the intersection pipe, or with the
<br /> beginning or ending of any new linear length of valves or couplings contained
<br /> within the measured length. At changes in pipe size connected by a reducer,
<br /> the point of measurement shall be taken as the midpoint of the reducer.
<br /> The unit Contract Price for"DI Pipe, Class 52, 36-Inch Diam", shall constitute
<br /> full compensation for all labor, materials, tools, and equipment necessary to
<br /> furnish and install the pipe as shown on the Plans or as required by the
<br /> Specifications, and all fittings required for complete installation of the pipe as
<br /> shown on the Plans and specified herein, and additionally, shall include, but
<br /> not be limited to, the following:
<br /> 1. This shall include, but not be limited to, removal and disposal of the
<br /> existing asphalt concrete pavement, sidewalk, curb, thrust blocks,
<br /> miscellaneous landscaping, and sod as indicated on the Plans.
