<br /> Section 01 22 20 MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT
<br /> disposal of excavated materials, placing concrete footings, installing and '
<br /> filling bollards, and coatings.
<br /> Bid Item 26. Relocate Leak Detection Pipe and Meter '
<br /> The lump sum (LS) Contract Price for"Relocate Leak Detection Pipe and
<br /> Meter" shall constitute full compensation for all Work, labor, materials, tools,
<br /> and equipment necessary to relocate leak detection pipe and meter as shown
<br /> on the Plans or as required by the Specifications, and includes, but is not
<br /> limited to excavating, placing and compacting pipe bedding and trench
<br /> backfill material, installing PVC pipe and fittings, connecting new pipe ends to
<br /> existing leak detection pipe with couplings, connecting existing meter to new
<br /> PVC pipe, and installing gate valve, valve box, and nut extension at meter
<br /> location.
<br /> Bid Item 27. Erosion/Water Pollution Control
<br /> The lump sum (LS) Contract Price for"Erosion/Water Pollution Control" shall
<br /> constitute full compensation for all Work, labor, materials, tools and
<br /> equipment necessary and incidental for the installation, maintenance and
<br /> removal of the temporary erosion and sedimentation control (TESC)facilities
<br /> to prevent pollution, erosion, siltation, and damage to any wetland, stream,
<br /> other watercourse, or surrounding property throughout the life of the Contract.
<br /> TESC facilities shall include, but not be limited to, any cover measures, runoff
<br /> control measures, soil and site stabilization measures, filter fabric fencing as
<br /> shown on the Plans, and inlet protection measures for the work area and
<br /> downstream areas, per City Standard Plans 210 and 214.
<br /> The TESC measures shall limit the erosion possibility by covering disturbed '
<br /> soils, preventing sloughing or raveling of cut and natural slopes, and
<br /> controlling surface runoff from flowing into excavations using measures such
<br /> as curbs, berms, dikes, rock-lined ditches, and other approved measures. ,
<br /> Filter fabric fence shall be used to treat small areas of non-concentrated
<br /> runoff prior to discharge from the site.
<br /> Bid Item 28. Soil Quality and Depth '
<br /> Measurement shall be computed from field measurements.
<br /> The unit Contract Price per square yard (SY)for"Soil Quality and Depth" '
<br /> shall constitute full compensation for all Work, labor, materials, tools,
<br /> equipment, and incidentals necessary to provide soil quality and depth on
<br /> disturbed or graded areas as shown on the Plans, Specifications, and City
<br /> Standard Plan 202or as necessary for the work. The unit contract price
<br /> includes scarifying subsoil, mixing compost into stockpiled topsoil, placement
<br /> of soil mix, amending existing topsoil, and hydroseeding all disturbed areas.
<br /> Hydroseed on disturbed or graded areas as shown on the Plans, per WSDOT
<br /> Standard Specifications Section 8-01, and City Standard Plan 202 or as
<br /> necessary for the work. 1
<br /> Also included in this bid item is watering to establish and maintain grass
<br /> growth.
