I <br /> Section 40 90 00 PROCESS CONTROL SYSTEM GENERAL PROVISIONS <br /> E. Nameplates shall be made of 1/16" thick machine engraved laminated phenolic I <br /> having black letters not less than 3/16" high on white background or as shown on <br /> the Drawings or other sections of the specifications. Nameplates on the interior <br /> of panels shall be White Polyester with printed thermal transfer lettering and <br /> permanent pressure sensitive acrylic; TYTON 822 or accepted equal. All <br /> nameplates shall include the equipment name and number(and function, if <br /> applicable). I <br /> F. Relays shall be provided with 2 nameplates, one on the backpan by the relay <br /> base and one on the face of the relay. <br /> G. Provide warning nameplates on all panels and equipment which contain multiple <br /> power sources. Provide nameplates describing locations of power sources and <br /> disconnects. Provide any other warning or information nameplates as required <br /> by NEC or UL. <br /> H. Nameplates shall be secured to equipment with stainless steel screws/fasteners. <br /> Epoxy glue or other quality adhesive may be used where fasteners are not <br /> practical if first approved by the Engineer. <br /> PART 2 : PRODUCTS <br /> 2.01 GENERAL Ij <br /> A. DESIGN AND ASSEMBLY <br /> 1. All equipment and materials utilized in the system shall be the products of <br /> reputable, experienced manufacturers with at least five (5) years' <br /> experience in the manufacture of similar equipment. Similar items in the <br /> system shall be the products of the same manufacturer. <br /> 2. All equipment shall be of industrial grade and of standard construction, <br /> shall be capable of long, reliable, trouble-free service, and shall be <br /> specifically intended for control and monitoring of operation of motor- <br /> driven pumps and equipment. <br /> 3. All equipment shall be of modular design to facilitate interchangeability of <br /> parts and to assure ease of servicing. All equipment, where practical, <br /> shall be of solid state, integrated circuit design. <br /> 4. The system shall be completely assembled in the shop by the System <br /> Integrator. All components and equipment shall be prewired to the <br /> maximum extent possible. <br /> 5. All components, including both internally and face-mounted instruments I <br /> and devices, shall be clearly identified with phenolic nameplates of black <br /> background with white letters.
