I <br /> Section 40 90 00 PROCESS CONTROL SYSTEM GENERAL PROVISIONS <br /> testing will require up to a total of 24 hours of field support time for this <br /> project. The cost for this time shall be included in the bid. <br /> E. SYSTEM VALIDATION TESTING <br /> 1. After the program testing is complete, validation testing shall be by the <br /> Hardware and Software Engineer and Contractor, with the Owner and <br /> Engineer present. Validation testing shall include operation and <br /> verification of all control components and features of the entire control <br /> system. <br /> 2. The Contractor shall simulate various field conditions to test all control <br /> operations, monitoring and alarms for all systems and equipment. <br /> 3. The Contractor shall inform the Engineer of the testing schedule at least <br /> one week prior to the commencement of testing. Validation testing shall <br /> be considered complete when the Owner and Engineer have determined <br /> that all of the original system requirements have been met. <br /> 4. The System Integrator shall revise, modify, adjust the system as required <br /> during and following start-up to provide the operation required by the <br /> contract documents. <br /> 5. Note: the Engineer shall not be called out by the Contractor for validation <br /> testing on equipment until all components are installed, all wiring points <br /> have been checked, and operation has been tested and verified by the <br /> Contractor. <br /> 3.05 COMMISSIONING <br /> A. Once all systems have passed validation testing, then the plant will be operated <br /> for 2 weeks or time period as determined in the documents to verify plant <br /> operations prior to final acceptance. <br /> 3.06 SYSTEM MAINTENANCE <br /> A. The System Integrator shall be responsible for maintenance of the system from <br /> time of start-up to the date of acceptance, by formal action of the Owner, of all <br /> work under the contract. The System Integrator shall correct deficiencies and <br /> defects and make any and all repairs, replacements, modifications, and <br /> adjustments as malfunctions or failures occur. The System Integrator shall <br /> perform all such work required or considered to be required by the Owner to <br /> cause and maintain proper operation of the system and to properly maintain the <br /> system. <br /> 3.07 SERVICES OF SYSTEM INTEGRATOR <br /> A. General: An authorized service representative of the control panel System <br /> Integrator shall be present at the Site for a minimum of six Days. For the purpose <br /> of this paragraph, a Day is defined as a 7-hour period excluding travel time.
