I
I
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Item 9 - A drawing sheet from the existing Evergreen Pump Station record drawings
(Drawing Number 03677 dated July, 1966) has been provided as
supplemental information and is attached to Addendum 4.
ANSWERS TO QUESTIONS SUBMITTED FOR CLARIFICATION
Q1. Bid item 37 SnoPUD Charges- Section 01 22 20 measurement and payment
states we are to include costs for SnoPUD. Is this correct? Usually we see that
number provided on the Bid Form. Is there a contract for the SnoPUD charges,
or can this number be provided by the City since it is the same for all bidders?
RESPONSE: THE CITY OF EVERETT WILL PAY SNOPUD CHARGES
DIRECTLY. SECTION 00 41 13, BID FORM, AND SECT/ON 0122 20,
MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT, HAVE BEEN REVISED TO REFLECT THE
DELETION OF BID ITEM 37, SNOPUD CHARGES. SEE ATTACHED
SECTIONS FOR MODIFICATIONS.
Q2. On Sheet36"C4, 24 ft of SDR26 pipe is called out. Due to the small quantity,
there might be supply issues. Would you be ok with just adding that quantity in
more ductile?
RESONSE: BID ITEM 19, PVC PIPE, SDR 26, SOLID WALL, 36-INCHDIAM.,
HAS BEEN DELETED FROM SECTIONS 00 41 13, BID FORM, AND 0122 20,
MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT. Please confirm that the new 36" ductile iron pipe overflow bypass needs to be
Protecto 401 lined as specified in 33 05 01.2.01.A.3.
RESPONSE: THE NEW 36"DUCTILE IRON PIPE OVERFLOW BYPASS
DOES NOT NEED TO BE LINED WITH PROTECTO 401.
Q4. Are the existing pump station CMU walls as shown on S11, S13, and S14
hollow or grouted with rebar and can they support the full hydrostatic weight of
the poured concrete? Also, is it acceptable to anchor into the existing walls for
the shear wall formwork system?
RESPONSE: EXISTING CMU WALLS ARE MINIMALLY REINFORCED.
THEY ALSO HAVE LATERAL STRONGBACKS THAT WERE INSTALLED IN
Addendum 4 to Evergreen Pump Station Modifications(WO#UP3747-3) Page 3/4
' CITY OF EVERETT • 3200 Cedar Street • Everett, WA 98201 • (425)257-8800 • Fax (425)257-8882
