<br /> Section 01 22 20 MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT
<br /> imported crushed surfacing top and base course for the Work as required, '
<br /> from a Contractor supplied source.
<br /> The unit price for crushed surfacing top and base course also includes all
<br /> costs for controlling moisture content.
<br /> Also included in this bid item shall be the cost of all Work required to compact
<br /> native subgrade soils, as well as to uniformly spread and compact the '
<br /> crushed surfacing material.
<br /> Include in this bid item the cost of sprinkling during dry periods prior to
<br /> placement of the crushed surfacing and while spreading and compacting the
<br /> material.
<br /> Bid Item 14. Gravel Borrow
<br /> Measurement for Gravel Borrow shall be by the ton, recorded on certified
<br /> weight tickets, and placed within the limits of dimensions defined in the Work,
<br /> descriptions for other bid items, shown on the Plans, or COE Standard
<br /> Drawings, or as otherwise approved by the Engineer.
<br /> Measurement for gravel borrow shall be limited to maximum trench widths
<br /> defined in the work descriptions for other bid items. '
<br /> The unit Contract Price per ton (TN)for"Gravel Borrow", based on certified
<br /> weight tickets, shall be full compensation for all Work, labor, material, tools
<br /> and equipment necessary to furnish imported gravel borrow where Engineer
<br /> has determined native soils are not suitable for backfill, and other Work as
<br /> required, from a Contractor-supplied source.
<br /> The unit price for gravel borrow shall include all costs of furnishing, hauling,
<br /> stockpiling, placing, grading and compacting the material in place.
<br /> Bid Item 15. Foundation Material, Class A or B I
<br /> Measurement for Foundation Material, Class A or B shall be by the ton,
<br /> recorded on certified weight tickets, and placed within the limits of dimensions
<br /> defined in the Work, descriptions for other bid items, shown on the Plans, or111
<br /> COE Standard Drawings, or as otherwise approved by the Engineer.
<br /> The unit Contract Price per ton (TN) for"Foundation Material, Class A or B"
<br /> shall constitute full compensation for all Work, labor, tools, materials and
<br /> equipment required to furnish, place, and compact foundation material as
<br /> specified in the Specifications, and as shown on the Plans.
<br /> The costs for over-excavation, removal, haul, and disposal of unsuitable
<br /> subgrade material below the pipe zone, pavement subgrade, and building is
<br /> included under the Bi Item "Removal of Unsuitable Material".
<br /> Bid Item 16. HMA, CL 1/2" PG 64-22
<br /> Measurement for HMA, CL 1/2" PG 64-22 shall be by the ton, recorded on
<br /> certified weight tickets for HMA placed within the limits of dimensions defined
<br /> in the Work or shown on the Plans, Specifications, or as otherwise approved
<br /> by the Engineer. The measurement and payment limits for measuring this
<br /> bid item shall be actual dimensions taken in the field. No deduction will be
<br /> made for the weight of asphalt binder, blending sand, mineral filler, or other
<br /> component of the mixture.
