SCOPE OF WORK(continued) Structural design considerations, including bridges, retaining walls,and noise walls,may include identifying the need for structural components, and structural assessments at a planning level for up to two(2)alternatives in support of the Preferred Alternative Selection Screening in support of the opinion of cost. The Consultant will evaluate existing structural as built drawings to determine what modifications to the existing interchange could be accomplished without a full rebuild. This information will help determine potential costs as well as support possible construction phasing discussion. Assumptions: • The Consultant will utilize AutoCAD 2020 for all CADD drawings. • The City will provide all related CADD mapping used in previous studies for use by the Consultant. No new CADD mapping will be produced in this scope of work. If necessary,the City will convert CADD mapping files to AutoCAD format prior to sending to the Consultant. Conversions to or from other CADD formats is not included in this scope. • The Consultant will combine CADD files into a single file system for use through the project duration. • WSDOT's Design Manual and Highway Runoff Manual will serve as the primary guidance for design standards,except for City of Everett local streets which will follow City of Everett Design and Construction Standards and Ecology's 2019 Stormwater Management Manual for Western Washington. • The Consultant will develop up to fifteen (15)planning study level of detail roadway layouts to be evaluated in the First Level Screening. The roadway layouts for this effort will not include detailed roadway geometry, and will not include structural,stormwater or utilities design considerations. Up to six (6)alternatives will be carried into the Second Level Screening.Additional design development for these six(6) alternatives is not included in this scope. • The Consultant will refine centerline layouts for up to 6 alternatives to be carried into second level screening. • The Consultant will refine the design of up to two(2) alternatives in support of the Preferred Alternative Selection Screening.Additional engineering/design considerations will include detailed horizontal roadway geometry and roadway cross-sections identifying lane and shoulder width and right-of-way limits.The roadway layouts for this effort will also include structural,drainage and utilities considerations. • Vertical roadway profiles,superelevations,surfacing type and depth,and guardrail design is not included in this scope. • The detailed development of conceptual typical structural sections and layouts is not included in this scope. • The detailed design of collection and conveyance systems,flow control,water quality treatment, retrofit analysis, and onsite stormwater management best management practices(BMPs)are not included in this scope. • Cost estimating sheets will be updated to include current costs and updated risk through conversations with the City, County,and State. • Preliminary high/medium/low cost estimates will be provided for each of the 15 alternatives evaluated in first-level screening. • Planning-level cost estimates will be provided for each of the 6 alternatives carried into second-level screening.
