installation is found to comply with the provisions of this <br /> ordinance a Certificate of Approval shall be issued by the <br /> Administrative Authority. <br /> A copy of the Certificate of such final piping inspection <br /> shall be issued to the Gas Company supplying gas to the premises. <br /> It shall be unlawful for any gas company, or person fur- <br /> nishing gas, or any person, to turn on, or cause to be turned on, <br /> any gas meter or meters, until such Certificate of Approval, as <br /> herein provided, shall have been issued. <br /> SECTION 22 - WORKMANSHIP <br /> All design, construction and workmanship shall be in <br /> conformity with accepted engineering practices and shall be of <br /> such character as to secure the results sought to be obtained by <br /> this ordinance. No gas piping shall be bent or strained and no <br /> appliance shall be supported by or develop any strain or stress <br /> on its supply piping. <br /> SECTION 23 - LEAKS <br /> Leaks in gas piping shall be located by applying soapy <br /> water to the exterior of the piping. <br /> Fire or acid shall not be used to locate or repair leaks, <br /> nor shall any substance other than air be introduced into the <br /> gas piping. <br /> It shall not be permissible to repair defects in gas <br /> piping or fittings, but having been located, the defective pip- <br /> ing or fitting shall be removed and replaced with sound material. <br /> SECTION 24 - INTERCONNECTION OF GAS <br /> PIPING SYSTEMS <br /> It shall be unlawful to connect any gas appliance in such <br /> a manner that such appliance may receive gas from more than <br /> one system of gas piping. <br /> The installation, use and/or maintenance of a gas valve <br /> which makes it possible to turn on, control or otherwise direct <br /> the flow of gas from one system of gas piping to another, where <br /> -17- <br />
