• <br /> • 1 <br /> such systems are supplied with gas from separate meters, is here- <br /> by prohibited, and any such valves or other inter-connections <br /> between separate systems of gas piping shall be removed upon order <br /> of the Administrative Authority. <br /> SECTION 25 - UNLAWFUL TO RENDER GAS SERVICE <br /> It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation, <br /> excepting an authorized agent or employee of a person, firm or <br /> corporation engaged in the business of furnishing or supplying <br /> gas and whose service pipes supply or connect with the particular <br /> premises, to turn on or reconnect gas service in or on any pre- <br /> mises where and when gas service is not at the time being render- <br /> ed. <br /> It shall be unlawful to turn on or connect gas in or on <br /> any premises unless all outlets are properly and securely con- <br /> nected to gas appliances or capped or plugged with screwed joint <br /> fittings. <br /> SECTION 26 - SIZE OF PIPING TO GAS APPLIANCES <br /> Piping to gas appliances shall be of such size and so <br /> installed as to conform in all respects to Section 2. 4 and Table <br /> 2 of N. B. F. U. #54 and any amendment thereto. <br /> SECTION 27 - DOMESTIC GAS APPLIANCES <br /> MUST BE APPROVED <br /> 1. Appliances and accessories sold or installed in the <br /> City of Everett shall be of a design and construction acceptable <br /> to and approved, or listed by the American Gas Association, or <br /> other nationally recognized Laboratory, and each appliance shall <br /> be marked or labeled with a distinctive trademark or name as a <br /> means of identification and shallbear information showing the <br /> rated best input in B.T.U. per hour; provided, however, that <br /> industrial and other specialized appliances and equipment not <br /> included in the above requirements of the American Gas Association, <br /> Inc. , may be sold and installed upon approval of the Inspector, <br /> Following the expiration of a five (5) day period from the date of <br /> passage of this ordinance it shall be unlawful to display, sell, <br /> or install any gas appliance not conforming to the regulations <br /> -18- <br />
