All used gas appliances hereafter installed, sold <br /> for installation or offered for sale to be installed on a Gas <br /> System in the City of Everett shall be approved by the Inspector <br /> for Safety and shall be identified accordingly. In the event the <br /> appliance has been used with Liquefied Petroleum Gases, it shall <br /> be approved by the Inspector. <br /> SECTION 28 - CONVERSION OF CUSTOMERS' YARD LINE, <br /> HOUSE PIPING AND APPLIANCES FROM BUTANE <br /> OR OTHER LIQUEFIED PETROLEUM GASES TO <br /> NATURAL GAS <br /> Before a natural gas supply is furnished by the gas <br /> company to a customer who has been previously using Butane, <br /> Propane or other Liquefied Petroleum gases, customer shall secure <br /> a permit from the City and an inspection shall be made of the yard <br /> line, house piping and appliance by the Inspector, and the <br /> following specifications shall be met before a Certificate is <br /> issued by the Inspector to connect natural gas to the premises : <br /> 1. A yard service line not less than 3/4" in size <br /> shall be installed in accordance with this <br /> ordinance and the gas company's construction <br /> standards. <br /> 2. Sizes of house fittings shall be altered if need <br /> be, so that proper size pipe shall extend direct <br /> from outlet connection of gas company's meter to <br /> the first active gas opening. All house piping <br /> to additional openings shall be as set out in <br /> Section 26 hereof. Vent construction standards <br /> shall be those set out in Section 30 hereof. <br /> 3. Before natural gas is furnished by the supplier, <br /> the orifices and/or burners of all liquefied <br /> petroleum (bottled) gas appliances shall be changed <br /> or altered to the size and methods of use re- <br /> commended by the manufacturer of the appliance. <br /> Vent pipes, heater connections, gas piping or any <br /> -19- <br />
