hl <br /> SECTION 6 - LICENSE REQUIRED <br /> 1. GAS INSTALLATIO '3 LICENSE: It shall be unlawful for my <br /> person, firm or corporation to engage in or work at the business <br /> of installing, extending, altering, or repairing any gas appliance <br /> or piping, vent or flue connection pertaining to or in connection <br /> with gas installation within the corporate limits of the City of <br /> Everett, either as employer or individual unless such person, firm <br /> or corporation has received and has in full force and effect a <br /> "Gas Installation" license therefor in accordance with the pro- <br /> visions of this ordinance and shall have secured a iqaster Gas Fitter' s <br /> Certificate of Competency. <br /> 2. GAS FITTER'S LICENSE: It shall be unlawful for any <br /> person to engage in the business of any gas fitting work, installa <br /> tion, extension, alteration, and/or repair or remodeling of gas <br /> piping, gas appliances , vents , measuring devices, regulating valves <br /> i and/or appurtenances thereof which would be subject to inspection <br /> under the provisions of this ordinance unless such person has <br /> received and has in full force and effect a Gas Fitter's license <br /> therefor in accordance with the provisions of this ordinance and <br /> shall have secured a Gas Fitter' s Certificate of Competency. <br /> 3 . APPRENTICE GAS FITTER: An apprentice gas fitter having <br /> a certificate of competency may assist a licensed gas fitter. <br /> 4. LIMITATIONS OF GAS FITTER'S LICENSE : Persons under the <br /> terms of this ordinance who are required to have a "Gas Fitter' s" <br /> 1 license are also required to have a Gas Installation License unless <br /> they are employees of an employer who has a "Gas Installation" <br /> license au provided in this ordinance. <br /> 5. LICENSE i,:0T REQUIRED : The requirement contained herein <br /> shall not prohibit an unlicensed bona fide owner of a private <br /> residence from personally installing gas pipes, gas appliances, <br /> Ior making repairs and/or alterations on gas pipes or gas appliances <br /> or from doing any other work permitted by this ordinance in his own <br /> private residence, under the following terms and conditions: <br /> -5_ <br />
