time make or attempt to make, for any person or persons whomso- <br /> ever, or for any other purpose or object whatsoever, and that <br /> he or they will also replace and restore the street, avenue, <br /> alley or highway to as good a state and condition as at the time <br /> of the commencement of said work, to the satisfaction of the <br /> City Engineer, and shall conform in all respects to the rules <br /> and regulations of the City Council and the Commissioner of <br /> Public Works. <br /> Section 12: LICENSE TO BE REVOKED, WHEN <br /> Such license provided for in Sections 9, 10 and 11 of <br /> this ordinance may be revoked by the Commissioner of Public <br /> Works for a violation by the licensee of this ordinance, or any <br /> part thereof, or for any cause the Commissioner of Public Works <br /> may deem sufficient. <br /> Section 13: PERSONS WITHOUT LICENSE NOT TO DO <br /> SEWERAGE WORK <br /> No connection shall be made with, nor shall any opening <br /> be made into a public sewer or drain either for original con- <br /> struction or repair except by persons licensed as aforesaid. <br /> Section 14: NO CONNECTIONS WITHOUT PERMIT, AND <br /> THEN ONLY TO LICENSED CONTRACTOR <br /> No person shall connect with or open or penetrate any <br /> public sewer, side sewer or drain for any purpose whatsoever <br /> permit in writingfrom the City <br /> first obtaining <br /> without a <br /> Engineer as provid <br /> ed in this ordinance, and no person other than <br /> a licensed person as herein provided shall be granted such <br /> permit except as hereinafter provided. <br /> No permit will be required for the removal of obstructions <br /> in a side sewer line when the same can be removed through a <br /> clean out installed for that purpose. <br /> A bona fide owner of any building, structure, lot or <br /> parcel of teal property may be granted a permit to alter or <br /> repair any side sewer or drain within the limits of his property <br /> line without being licensed, provided all work shall be done in <br /> accordance with the provisions of this ordinance. <br /> Section 15: APPLICATIONS AND CONDITIONS THEREOF <br /> Applications for a permit to connect to a public sewer or <br /> to repair, alter or lower existing connections or side sewers, <br /> installing sumps, drains, catchbasins and repair work of any and <br /> all kinds pertaining thereto, except the opening of side sewers <br /> by rodding for the removal of obstructions in the side sewer <br /> line when the same can be removed through a cleanout installed <br /> for that purpose, must state the location of the sewer, name of <br /> the owner of the premises, the number and location of building <br /> to be connected, and must be accompanied by a permit fee in <br /> accordance with the following schedule: <br /> Initial connection to public sewer <br /> 10.00 <br /> Catchbasins 10.00 6 v <br /> Repairs to sidesewers and/or laterals 2.50 ) • <br /> Altering existing sidesewers and/or laterals$ 2.50 <br /> Installation of drains and/or sumps $ 2.50 <br /> It shall be unlawful for any person to extend, repair or alter <br /> any sidesewer, lateral or drain beyond the limits for which the <br /> permit has been issued. <br /> -4- <br />
