time make or attempt to make, for any person or persons whomso- ever, or for any other purpose or object whatsoever, and that he or they will also replace and restore the street, avenue, alley or highway to as good a state and condition as at the time of the commencement of said work, to the satisfaction of the City Engineer, and shall conform in all respects to the rules and regulations of the City Council and the Commissioner of Public Works. Section 12: LICENSE TO BE REVOKED, WHEN Such license provided for in Sections 9, 10 and 11 of this ordinance may be revoked by the Commissioner of Public Works for a violation by the licensee of this ordinance, or any part thereof, or for any cause the Commissioner of Public Works may deem sufficient. Section 13: PERSONS WITHOUT LICENSE NOT TO DO SEWERAGE WORK No connection shall be made with, nor shall any opening be made into a public sewer or drain either for original con- struction or repair except by persons licensed as aforesaid. Section 14: NO CONNECTIONS WITHOUT PERMIT, AND THEN ONLY TO LICENSED CONTRACTOR No person shall connect with or open or penetrate any public sewer, side sewer or drain for any purpose whatsoever permit in writingfrom the City first obtaining without a Engineer as provid ed in this ordinance, and no person other than a licensed person as herein provided shall be granted such permit except as hereinafter provided. No permit will be required for the removal of obstructions in a side sewer line when the same can be removed through a clean out installed for that purpose. A bona fide owner of any building, structure, lot or parcel of teal property may be granted a permit to alter or repair any side sewer or drain within the limits of his property line without being licensed, provided all work shall be done in accordance with the provisions of this ordinance. Section 15: APPLICATIONS AND CONDITIONS THEREOF Applications for a permit to connect to a public sewer or to repair, alter or lower existing connections or side sewers, installing sumps, drains, catchbasins and repair work of any and all kinds pertaining thereto, except the opening of side sewers by rodding for the removal of obstructions in the side sewer line when the same can be removed through a cleanout installed for that purpose, must state the location of the sewer, name of the owner of the premises, the number and location of building to be connected, and must be accompanied by a permit fee in accordance with the following schedule: Initial connection to public sewer 10.00 Catchbasins 10.00 6 v Repairs to sidesewers and/or laterals 2.50 ) • Altering existing sidesewers and/or laterals$ 2.50 Installation of drains and/or sumps $ 2.50 It shall be unlawful for any person to extend, repair or alter any sidesewer, lateral or drain beyond the limits for which the permit has been issued. -4-
