Gauge and weigh approximately Four Hundred Fifteen <br /> (415) pounds. Tanks exceeding Five Hundred (500) <br /> gallons shall be of 3/16 inch metal and weigh according <br /> to the following table : <br /> Nominal Capacity Approximate <br /> Gallons Weight <br /> 672 950 pounds <br /> 840 1100 pounds <br /> 1000 1300 pounds <br /> A written statement must be attached to each <br /> tank stating clearly the capacity, thickness and weight. <br /> Said statement shall be clipped to Inspection Permit <br /> before tank is covered. <br /> (j) No glass bottle oil container and no oil <br /> supply tank of the vacuum feed type shall have a <br /> capacity in excess of Three (3) gallons. <br /> (k) Every gravity oil burner shall be provided <br /> with an automatic safeguard to prevent flooding of <br /> the burner, which may be a trip bucket or a proper <br /> arrangement of the burner equipment to maintain a <br /> constant or fixed level of oil to prevent abnormal <br /> discharge of oil. <br /> (1) No gravity oil tank or container shall be <br /> provided with an oil level gauge which leaks or is <br /> likely to leak. Glass gauges, except as permitted <br /> for glass bottle oil containers are prohibited. <br /> (m) No damper which may entirely close the <br /> chimney uptake shall be installed or used in any <br /> smokepipe between a gravity oil burner and the chimney <br /> and the air regulating device on the front of the <br /> stove , range , furnace or other heating device shall <br /> be permanently fastened in the open position. <br /> (n) Standard full weight wrought iron or steel <br /> pipe not less than one-fourth inch inside diameter, <br /> or brass or copper tubing not less than five-sixteenths <br /> inch outside diameter with a wall thickness not less <br /> than .049 inch for small sizes and correspondingly <br /> heavier where necessary, shall be used for oil supply <br /> lines. All piping and tubing shall be tightly put <br /> together with due allowance for expansion, contraction, <br /> jarring and vibration and where necessary, protected <br /> against mechanical injury. <br /> (o) Gravity oil burning equipment shall comply <br /> with the requirements of this ordinance relating to <br /> oil burners to which oil fuel is delivered to the <br /> burner by pumping, insofar as the same are practicable <br /> and do not conflict with the requirements of this <br /> section. <br /> (p) No person, firm or corporation shall in- <br /> stall or cause to be installed in or below floor level <br /> any floor furnace , suspended type furnace or any type <br /> of oil heating equipment supported wholly or in part <br /> by suspension from floors or joists, without providing <br />
