• <br /> a suitable aisle of at least Two (2) feet width and <br /> Five (5) feet depth. Depth to be measured from <br /> bottom of floor joists. There shall be a Two (2) <br /> foot clearance all around furnace or heater, except <br /> where smoke pipe crosses to chimney from said <br /> furnace or heater. <br /> Section 5 : That Section 14 of Ordinance No. 3043 <br /> of the City of Everett is hereby amended to read as follows : <br /> Section 14: Oil burners and oil burning <br /> equipment shall be operated and maintained in accordance <br /> with the following provisions: <br /> (a) No oil shall be placed in any tank for <br /> use in any oil burner or oil burning equipment until such <br /> tank has been duly inspected and approved by the Fire Chief <br /> of the City of Everett , and a permit therefor has been <br /> issued by said Fire Chief. The Fire Chief shall cause in- <br /> spection to be made within 4$ hours of notice. <br /> (b) No oil company or distributor, or <br /> agent of any oil company or distributor, shall place oil <br /> in any storage or supply tank for use in any oil burner or <br /> oil burning equipment where a permit of approval issued by <br /> the Fire Chief, cannot be shown. <br /> No oil company or distributor, or agent <br /> of any oil company or distributor, shall place oil in any <br /> storage or supply tank for use in oil b-irner or oil burning <br /> equipment which is not equipped with a vent pipe of at least <br /> one inch diameter, except in the installation of an under- <br /> ground storage tank when permission shall be granted by <br /> the Fire Chief of the City of Everett. <br /> (c) Oil storage and supply tanks, holding <br /> oil for use in oil burners or oil burning equipment, shall <br /> contain only that type of oil for the combustion of which <br /> that type of oil burner or oil burning equipment is designed <br /> by the manufacturer and is approved by the Fire Chief of <br /> the City of Everett. <br /> (d) no oil company or distributor, or <br /> agent of oil company or distributor, shall place any oil <br /> in any storage or supply tank, to be used in any oil burner <br /> or oil burning equipment, other that that type of oil for <br /> the combustion of which that type of oil burner or oil <br /> burning equipment is designed by the manufacturer and is <br /> approved by the Tire Chief of the City of Everett. <br /> (e) Except when installed in one and two <br /> family residences, it shall be the duty of the person in <br /> charge of every oil burner, used to heat air or water to <br /> inspect the oil burner while same is in operation, and the <br /> fire box in which installed, at least twice in each twenty- <br /> four (24) hour period. <br /> (f) Complete legible instructions for <br /> correctly operating and maintaining oil burning equipment <br /> shall be posted at all times in the room containing the <br /> oil burner, with the principle directions for the proper <br />
