Section 4 The character and type of transportation equipment shall con- EQUIPME1T sist of motor buses propelled by power generated by gasoline , oil, electricity or otherwise. All equipment shall be of such size and seating capacity as adequately fills the needs of the route or routes upon which employed. The equipment shall be properly maintained and be safe , depend- able and in sanitary condition. The number of buses shall be sufficient to supply reasonable and adequate transportation service , with spare equipment to insure proper service at all times. Section The company may designate, subject to the approval of the City STOP ZONES Council, bus stops on its motor bus routes and the City shall set aside an adequate space or zone in which vehicles shall not be permitted to interfere with the bus operation, to the end that the safety and convenience of the patrons of the motor bus service of the company, and the public, may be safe- guarded, and the City shall also establish and enforce such traffic regulations and rules as will serve to expedite the movement of the company' s buses. Section 6 The company agrees to comply with Section 113 of the Charter FARES of the City of Everett concerning the establishment of just, fair and reasonable rates, except as otherwise limited by the laws of the state of Washington and except as otherwise governed by the laws of the state of Washington or the laws of the United States.
