• <br /> one Health Officer (part time) ; one ueputy health Officer; one milk <br /> Inspector; one irieat inspector 1part time) ; one Stenographer-Clerk; <br /> one Rodent Controlman; and one nurse and Laboratory lecnnician. <br /> It shall be the duty of such officers and assistants to <br /> perform the duties pertaining to said aepartment under the direction <br /> of the health Officer and the Commissioner of Safety. <br /> Section lb: POLICE DEPARTMENT: There shall be the fol- <br /> lowing named officers and assistants in the rolice Department, to-wit: <br /> one Chief of Police; three Captains; one Superintendent Bureau of <br /> Iaentification; one Assistant Superintendent Bureau of Iaentification; <br /> eleven Sergeants; twenty-nine First-class Patrolmen; two second- <br /> class Patrolmen; one Third-class Patrolman; ana one Police 'daoman. <br /> It shall be the duty of the officers and assistants in <br /> said Police Department to perform the duties indicated by the name <br /> of their employment, and such other duties as the thief of Police or <br /> Commissioner of Safety may authorize and direct. <br /> Section 14: FIRE DEPARTMENT: There shall be the following <br /> named officers and assistants in the Fire Department, to-wit: one <br /> Chief; three Assistant Chiefs; one Superintendent Fire and Police <br /> Signals ; one Assistant Superintendent Fire and Police signals; one <br /> Fire Marshall; one Master if echanic; one Captain and Personnel Offi- <br /> cer; fourteen Captains; one Assistant Fire iarshall; two Fire and <br /> Police Signal Technicians; one Assistant Mechanic; one Chief Fire <br /> Alarm Operator; three Fire Alarm Operators; seventeen Senior Pipemen; <br /> twenty-two Junior Pipemen; two Second-year Pipemen; one First-year <br /> Pipeman. <br /> It shall be the duty of such officers and assistants in <br /> said department to perform the duties indicated by the name of their <br /> employment, and such other duties as the Chief of the Fire Department <br /> or Commissioner of Safety may authorize and direct. It shall also <br /> be the duty of every Fire Department employee of any rank to operate <br /> the signal room as directed by the Chief of the Fire Department or <br /> Commissioner of Safety. <br /> Section lb: FIRE HYDRANT DEPARTMENT: There shall be the <br /> following named employee in the Fire hydrant Department, to-wit: <br /> one Hydrant Repairman. <br /> It shall be the duty of such employee to perform the <br /> duties indicated by the name of his employment and such other duties <br /> as the Chief of Fire Department or Commissioner of Safety may author- <br /> ize and direct. <br /> Section 16: STRlET-PAINTING DEPARTMENT: There shall be <br /> the following named employees in the street-Painting Department, to- <br /> wit: one Street Painter and one or more Assistant Street fainters. <br /> It shall be the duty of such employees to perform all <br /> the duties indicated by the name of their employment and such other <br /> duties as the Commissioner of ''afety and the Chief of Police shall, <br /> from time to time, authorize and direct. <br />
