DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS Section 17: CITY ENGINEER DEPARTMENT: There shall be the following named officers, deputies, assistants, and employees in the office of the City Engineer, to-wit: one City Engineer (part time) ; one Senior Engineer; one Associate Engineer; five Junior Engineers; three Senior Engineering Aiaes; four Engineering Aides; one Stenogra- pher; one or more Inspectors (part time) . Said officers, assistants, and employees shall perform the duties indicated by the name of their respective employment and such other duties as the City Engineer shall, from time to time, au- thorize and direct. Section 18: INSPECTION DEPARTMENT: There shall be the following named officers and employees in the Inspection Department, to-wit: one Building inspector; one Electrical Inspector ; one Plumb- ing Inspector ; one Office Helper (part time) . It shall be the duty of such officers and employees to perform the duties relating to such offices as defined by the orci- nances of such city, and such other duties as the Commissioner of Public Works shall authorize and direct. Section 19: STREET DEPARTMENT: There shall be the follow,' ing named officers and assistants in the Street vepartment, to-wit: " one Superintendent; _one Clerk; one Auto Repairman; one Auto Repair- man' s helper; four r'oremen; nine Truck Drivers; one Crusherman; one Donkeyman; two Bulldozer Operators ; two Gradermen; one Yardman; one Night Watchman; one Lumpman; three Push-up Men; eight Utility Labor- ers; and one or more Day Laborers. Said officers, assistants, and employees shall perform the duties pertaining to such office as indicated by the name of their respective anployments, and such other duties as the Superin- tendent of Streets or Commissioner of Public Works shall, from time to time, authorize and direct. Section 20: WATER DEPARTMENT: There shall be the follow- ing named officers, assistants, and employees in the water Depart- ment of the Oity of Everett, to-wit: one superintendent (part time) ; one Assistant Superintendent; one Distribution System Foreman; two Clerks; one Accountant; four water Control Station Operators; one Headworks Operator; two Senior Engineering Aides; one Engineering Aide; one or more Foremen; one Welder; one Blacksmith; one Black- smith' s Helper; one Inspector; one Assistant Inspector; one or more Heavy Equipment Operators; one or more Truck Drivers ; One viachiniet; one Auto Repairman; one Assistant Auto Repairman; one or more Ser- vicemen; one or more servicemen Helpers ; one Meter Repairman; one Carpenter; one Basin Patrolman; one or more Utility Laborers; one Senior Engineer; one or more Day Laborers ; two radio Technicians (part time). The Superintendent shall be in general charge and have supervision of the Water Department. the other officers, assistants, and employees shall perform such duties as pertain to the nature of their office and as authorized and directed by the Superintendent of the eater system and Commissioner of Public Works.
