City of Everett,Washington I Water Filter Plant- Phase 2 Capital Upgrades PDB Project <br /> Progressive Design-Build Contract I Exhibit B.Owner's Project Criteria <br /> Criterion Requirement <br /> Protection of 1. The water filter plant will be in active service during field investigation activities. <br /> Water Quality Design-Builder shall use methods to contain debris and dust from field <br /> During Field investigations, testing, and avoid the introduction of debris, dust, and any other <br /> Investigations foreign materials into plant infrastructure. <br /> 2. Where required, disinfection of tools and equipment shall be completed per the <br /> City's existing protocols prior to commencing investigation and construction <br /> activities on any potable water infrastructure. <br /> Table 2 Construction Criteria <br /> Criterion Requirement <br /> General <br /> Site Access 1. The water filter plant site is a fenced, gated utility site with controlled access. <br /> The Design-Builder will be provided access via gate from Lake Chaplain Road <br /> and shall maintain the general security of the site. <br /> 2. There are multiple City of Everett buildings and facilities within the fence line of <br /> the water filter plant site. These buildings and facilities and access to them shall <br /> not be impaired by the Design-Builder's work. <br /> 3. There may be one or more contractors besides the Design-Builder active within <br /> the water filter plant site during construction of the Project, working on other <br /> areas or facilities within the fence line. The Design-Builder shall avoid impeding <br /> the access or work of any other contractors working in other areas of the site. <br /> 4. There are buried structures and utilities on-site. The Design-Builder shall <br /> identify locations of buried infrastructure and plan on-site activities and paths of <br /> travel to avoid damage to buried infrastructure. <br /> Infrastructure 1. The Washington Department of Labor and Industries may consider access of <br /> Access portions of the project to be a permit-required confined space entry. Employers <br /> with a contractual relationship or those in the inspection-for-bid process with the <br /> City of Everett who enter into City of Everett confined spaces must follow WAC <br /> 296-809. The City of Everett does not supply equipment, personnel, or rescue <br /> services for contractors to enter City of Everett confined spaces except through <br /> prior arrangement with the Safety Division. The City will dewater plant facilities <br /> and provide the Design-Builder access to all project infrastructure as required. <br /> All confined space entry plans, procedures, and safety equipment will be the <br /> responsibility of the Design-Builder. <br /> Work 2. The Design-Builder shall comply with all local codes, ordinances, and <br /> Restrictions requirements with respect to noise, light, dust control, and work hours. <br /> Page 13 of 16 <br />
