Design-Builder shall take all necessary measures to protect existing site <br /> Existing infrastructure and plant operations from damage or disruption construction. At a <br /> Infrastructure minimum, measures shall address the risk of chemical spills, potable water <br /> and Plant contamination, plant process disruptions, unplanned plant shutdowns, and <br /> damage from materials or equipment mobilized by the Design-Builder. <br /> Operations 2. Design-Builder shall preserve City access to operate and maintain on-site <br /> facilities not under active construction and avoid actions that would impair <br /> operation of the water filter plant or overall City water distribution system <br /> (exclusive of temporary City-coordinated plant shutdowns). <br /> 3. Design-Builder shall preserve third party (e.g. delivery drivers, maintenance <br /> contractors, service technicians) access to on-site facilities not under active <br /> construction and avoid actions that would impair third party tasks or operation of <br /> the water filter plant. <br /> 4. Contractor shall preserve, and temporarily facilitate as needed, third party <br /> chemical delivery's and provide for the offloading of chemicals in a manner <br /> similar to the existing methods. <br /> Protection of 1. The water filter plant will be in active service during construction activities. <br /> Water Quality Design-Builder shall use methods to contain debris and dust from <br /> During Field investigations, testing, and construction activities and avoid the introduction of <br /> Construction debris, dust, and any other foreign materials into plant infrastructure. <br /> 2. Where required, disinfection of tools and equipment shall be completed per the <br /> City's existing protocols prior to commencing construction activities on any <br /> potable water infrastructure. <br /> Page 14 of 16 <br />
