City of Everett,Washington I Water Filter Plant- Phase 2 Capital Upgrades PDB Project <br /> Progressive Design-Build Contract I Draft Exhibit C. Phase 1 Scope of Services <br /> The Design-Builder shall develop and submit Project cost model updates at the following points <br /> in time: <br /> 1. Basis of Design Report , <br /> 2. as needed to support determination of available budget and design concepts for <br /> proposed improvements, <br /> 3. the 60 percent design submittal, and <br /> 4. the Phase 2 Proposal. <br /> Cost models shall be provided in hard copy, Adobe PDF and spreadsheet (or other native <br /> form)formats. <br /> Design-Builder and the City shall meet and confer about the submissions, with Design-Builder <br /> identifying the evolution of the costs. The Design-Builder shall revise the cost models as needed <br /> in response to the City's comments. <br /> Deliverables: <br /> 1. Cost models to support review of design concepts <br /> 2. Cost model with 60 percent design submittal <br /> 3. Revised cost models as needed to address City questions and comments <br /> Subtask 6.3— Phase 2 Schedule Development <br /> The Design-Builder shall develop, and update estimated schedules for the Phase 2 work. <br /> Estimated Phase 2 schedules shall be developed and / or updated to support design concept <br /> review, and with each design submittal milestone (60 percent design, 90 percent design, final <br /> design). <br /> As part of its Phase 2 Proposal, the Design-Builder shall develop and submit a proposed Project <br /> Schedule (as defined in the PDB Contract) that, subject to negotiations, will set contractual <br /> dates for key milestones including Substantial Completion and Final Completion. <br /> All Project schedules, developed as part of Phase 1, shall be consistent with the following <br /> requirements. <br /> 1. All schedules shall be prepared using an industry standard scheduling software. <br /> 2. Schedules shall be submitted as electronic files (native and Adobe PDF format) and <br /> shall be updated monthly to show progress and changes. <br /> 3. Schedules shall include all activities needed to complete the design and <br /> construction. <br /> Deliverables: <br /> 1. Estimated Phase 2 schedule (including any variations based on design and <br /> construction approach as needed) to support design concept review <br /> Page 16 of 20 <br />
