distance of five hundred (500) feet to the rear, except that such <br /> parking lights need not be displayed upon any vehicle when stopped <br /> or parked in accordance with the other provisions of this ordinance <br /> where there is sufficient light to reveal any person or object <br /> within a distance of five hundred (500) feet upon such public high- <br /> way. Any lighted headlamps upon a parked vehicle shall be depressed <br /> or dimmed. <br /> Section 65: PARKING RESTRICTED NEAR PACES OF PUBLIC <br /> .a,SSE .BLY. It shall be unlawful to stand or park any vehicle at any <br /> time, except while actually engaged in loading or unloading, on that <br /> portion of the street contiguous to and opposite any outside court, <br /> corridor, passage, fire escape, exit or entrance door, or any other <br /> space adjacent to, or any door opening in an outer wall of any <br /> building containing, in whole or in part, any theatre, public audi- <br /> torium, church, dance hall, or other place of public assembly, through <br /> which the public must pass to Lave the building. It shall be <br /> incumbent upon, and the duty of the owner or agent of the property <br /> used for the purpose herein specified to designate such prohibited <br /> areas by marking the curb or by placing stanchions or signs satis- <br /> factory to the 'hief of Police of the L'ity of Everett. <br /> Section 66: filEATRE ZONES. <br /> (a) ESTA3LIstn_ENT OF THEATRE ZONES. The city council <br /> may, by resolution, establish theatre zones along the curb in any <br /> street adjacent to the entrances and exits of theatres for the purpose <br /> of facilitating the loading and unloading of persons, preventing <br /> double parking, providing for a greater measure of safety in case of <br /> fire, and eliminating other hazards and impediments to traffic. The <br /> city council may also, by resolution, establish the hours of use and <br /> other special regulations for such theatre zones and provide for the <br /> posting of notice thereof. <br /> (b) USE OF THEATRE ZONES. At any time when the theatre <br /> adjacent to any theatre zone is not open to the public such theatre <br /> zone shall be used as a loading zone and shall be subject to the <br /> provisions of section 67. At any time when and such theatre is open <br /> to the public, such theatre zone snail not be used for the loading <br /> or unloading of merchandise and no person shall stop, stand or park <br /> any vehicle therein except temporarily for the loading and unloading <br /> of persons. <br /> Section 67: LOADING ZONES. <br /> (a) ESTA4ISiLLENT OF LOADING ZONES. The city council may, <br /> by resolution, establish loaning zones along the curb in any street <br /> for the purpose of facilitating the loaning and unloading of merchan- <br /> dise and persons, preventing double parking and eliminating the other <br /> hazards and impediments to traffic. The city council may also, by <br /> resolution, establish the hours of use and other special regulations <br /> for such loading zones and provide for the uosting of notice thereof. <br /> In the absence of signs posted pursuant to such resolution, the general <br /> orovisions of this ordinance shall govern the use of such loading <br /> zones, <br /> (b) USE OF LOADING ZONES. <br /> (1 ) Loading zones, other than those adjacent to hotel <br /> entrances and exits, shall be reserved for use by commercial vehicles <br /> in loading and unloading: persons and commodities between the hours of <br /> -23-. <br />
