No person shall stop, stand or park any vehicle other <br /> than a commercial vehicle therein between such hours; provided, how- <br /> ever, that non-commercial vehicles may use such zones while actually <br /> ; engaged in the loading or unloading of persons or commodities, but <br /> non-commercial vehicles shall upon demand give way to commercial <br /> vehicles whose drivers desire to use the zone for loading; or unload- <br /> ing purposes. At all other times such zones shall be .tor Leneral use <br /> Sunder the parking regulations applicable to the district in which <br /> they are located. <br /> (2) Loadin" zones adjacent to hotel entrances and <br /> exits shall at all times be reserved primarily for use by vehicles, <br /> both commercial and non-commercial in loading and unloading persons <br /> and commodities. No person shall stop, stand or park any vehicle <br /> ! in any such zone other than for the purpose of loading or unloading <br /> persons or commodities. <br /> (3) All loading ana unloading of persons and commodi- <br /> ties in loading zones shall be continuous and shall be compIted as <br /> rapdily as possible. In no case shall the stop for loading and un- <br /> loading of materials exceed thirty (30) minutes <br /> Section 68: BUS AND TAXI ZONES. <br /> (a) ESTABLISH ENT OF BUS AND TAXI ZONES. The city <br /> ' council may, by resolution, establish bus and taxi zones which shall <br /> ! be appropriately marked and maintained and shall be subject to the <br /> restrictions and provisions of this ordinance relating to such zones. <br /> ft <br /> '•� (b) USE OF BUS AND TAXI ZONES. No person shall stop, <br /> stand or park a vehicle other than a bus in a bus zone, or other than <br /> eta taxi in a taxi zone when such zone or stand has been officially <br /> designated, except that the driver of a passenger vehicle may <br /> temporarily stop in a bus zone for the purpose of and while actually <br /> engaged in loading or unloaain„ passengers when such stopping does <br /> not interfere with any bus waiting to enter or about to enter such <br /> zone. <br /> Section 69: BUS AND TAXI-CAB PAhlJ G. 1'he driver of a <br /> :'; bus or taxi shall not stand or park his vehicle upon any street in <br /> a business district at any place other than in a bus zone or taxi <br /> ; zone, respectively, except that this provision shall not prevent the <br /> : driver of any such vehicle from temporarily stopping in accordance <br /> with other stopping or parkin, regulations at any place for the <br /> purpose of, and while actually engaged in, loading or unloading <br /> passengers. <br /> Section 70: FUNERAL ZONES. <br /> • <br /> (a) ESTABLISHMENT ol4 FUNERAL ZONES. The city council <br /> may, by resolution, establish funeral zones along the curb in any <br /> street adjacent to funeral parlors or churches for the purpose of <br /> ' relieving the congestion of traffic attendant to funeral services. <br /> (b) USE OF FUNERAL ZONES. Funeral zones shall be re- <br /> , <br /> j served primarily for the use of vehicles being used in connection <br /> with a funeral including vehicles owned and operated by members of <br /> -24- <br />
