Section 177: ARTERIAL HIGHWAYS. <br /> All public <br /> (a) Primary State Highways. highways within <br /> ' the city of Everett designated by the director of highways as <br /> forming a part of the routes of primary state highways through the <br /> city are hereby declared to be arterial highways as respects all <br /> other streets, avenues, or private ways. <br /> (b) Designation of Arterial Highways. The following <br /> streets and portions thereof between the points named are hereby <br /> p designated as arterial highways: <br /> Hewitt Avenue from the West line of pucker Avenue to <br /> the East city limits; <br /> Broadway Avenue from the iorth city limits to the <br /> South city limits; <br /> Rucker Avenue from the South city limits to the North <br /> line of Everett Avenue; <br /> Everett Avenue from the West line of X ucker Avenue <br /> to theast line of Broadway Avenue; <br /> Pacific Avenue from the West line of Rucker Avenue <br /> to the East line of Broadway Avenue; <br /> Nineteenth Street from the East line of Rucker Avenue <br /> to the West line of Walnut Street; <br /> Walnut Street from the South line of Hewitt Avenue <br /> to the intersection with Highway #99, (Primary State Highway #1) <br /> at Bridgeway; <br /> kukilteo Boulevard from the East line of Rucker <br /> Avenue to the city limits, running in a Westerly direction. <br /> (c) Additional Arterial Highways. The city council may <br /> by resolution designate <br /> herdeinlnal arterial <br /> directhighways <br /> thataltering <br /> be <br /> or supplementing those created, <br /> appropriately signed and posted as provided by law. <br /> Section 178: DANGEROUB STREET INTERSECTIONS. The city <br /> council may by resolution determine and designate any particular <br /> street intersection or any particular street or portions thereof <br /> as dangerous to vehicular traffic at which vehicles shall be <br /> required to stop before entering thereon, and direct that such <br /> particular street intersectme,or such streets or portions thereof, <br /> be appropriately signed and posted as provided by law. <br /> Section 179: POSTING DANGEROUS INTERSECTIONS. The Chief <br /> of Police is hereby authorized and directed to erect, or cause to <br /> be erected and maintained on each street intersecting an arterial <br /> highway, and at intersections established as dangerous intersections, <br /> as herein provided, proper signs of standard design adopted by the <br /> director of highways indicating that such intersection is with an <br /> arterial highwayand thatas been vehiclesetermind and beforeeenterinngsignated as thereon arearequiredus <br /> intersection <br /> to stop. <br /> -54- <br />
