(53) TRAFFIC DEVICE: All signs, signals, markings and <br /> devices not inconsistent with this ordinance, placed or erected by <br /> authority of a public body or official having jurisdiction, for the <br /> purpose of regulating, warning or guiding traffic. <br /> (54) TRAILER: Every vehicle, as herein defined, without <br /> motive power designed for being drawn by or used in conjunction <br /> with a motor vehicle, as herein defined, constructed so that no <br /> appreciable part of its weight rests upon or is carried by such <br /> motor vehicle. <br /> (55) TRAIN: A vehicle propelled by steam, electricity <br /> or other motive power, with or without cars coupled thereto, operated <br /> upon stationary rails, except street cars. <br /> (56) TRUCK TRACTOR: Any motor truck, as herein defined, <br /> designed and used primarily for drawing a semi-trailer and not <br /> constructed to carry a load thereon other than a part of the weight <br /> of such semi-trailer and load so drawn, <br /> (57) USED VEHICLE: A vehicle which has been sold, <br /> bargained, exchanged, given away or title transferred from the person <br /> who first took title to it from the manufacturer or first importer, <br /> dealer or agent of the manufacturer or importer, and so used as to <br /> have become what is commonly known as t°second-hand" within the <br /> ordinary meaning thereof. <br /> (58) UUtf TURN: Turning a vehicle on an arc of 180 <br /> degrees to permit travel in the opposite direction on the same <br /> roadway. <br /> (59) VEHIC E: Every aevice capable of being moved upon <br /> a public highway and in, upon or by which any person or property <br /> is or may be transported or drawn upon a public highway, excepting <br /> devices moved by human or animal power or used exclusively upon <br /> stationary rails or tracks. <br /> (60) auASHINGTON HIGHWAY LICENSE ACT: Shall mean and <br /> include chapter 188 of the 1937 Session Laws of •uashington, as <br /> amended. (hem. hey. Stat. , 6312-1 et seq. ) <br /> (61) WASHINGTON MOTOR VEHICLE ACT: Shall mean and <br /> include Chapter 189 of the 1937 session Laws ofash.ington, as <br /> amended. (Rem. Rev. Stat. , 6360-1 et seq. ) <br /> (62) Words and phrases used herein in the past, present <br /> and future tense shall include the past, present and future tenses ; <br /> words and phrases used herein in the masculine, feminine or neuter <br /> gender shall include the masculine, feminine and neuter genders; <br /> and words and phrases used herein in the singular or plural shall <br /> include the singular and plural, unless the context thereof shall <br /> include to the contrary. <br /> -6- <br />
