Section 11: OBEDIENCE TO SCHOOL PATROL. It shall be un- <br /> lawful for the operator of any vehicle to fail to stop his vehicle <br /> when directed to do so by any school patrol sign or signal displayed <br /> by any member of a school patrol engaged in the performance of his <br /> duty and wearing or displaying 4) propriate insignia, and it shall <br /> further be unlawful for the operator of any vehicle to disregard any <br /> other reasonable directions of any member of the school patrol when <br /> acting in performance of his duties as such. <br /> Section 12 : RELEASE lehu - ARREST O l'TGE TO APPEAR - <br /> EXEiMIPTIOdS. whenever, any person is arrested for any violation of <br /> this ordinance he may be released, in the discretion of the arresting <br /> officer, on giving his written promise to appear as specified in a <br /> written notice to be prepared by such officer, by signing the dupli- <br /> cate copies thereof. Such notice shall be in duplicate, on forms <br /> provided by the Ohief of Police, shall contain the name, address at <br /> operator ' s license numoer of the person arrested and the registration <br /> number of the motor vehicle involved, shall state the offense charged ` <br /> and the time and place such person shall appear. Upon the arrested <br /> person' s failing or refusing to sign such written promise, he shall <br /> oe placed and remain in the custody oi" such arresting officer or <br /> placed in confinement. <br /> Section 13: FAILURE TO APPEAR UNLAWFUL. Any person wil- <br /> fully violating his written and signed promise to appear, as provided <br /> in above section, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor regardless of the <br /> disposition of the charge upon which he was originally arrested. <br /> Provided: written promise to appear may be complied with by an. <br /> appearance of counsel. <br /> Section 14: NOTICE TO APPEAR FOR UNLAWFUL PARr ING. when- <br /> ever any motor vehicle without an operator is found parked in viola- <br /> tion of any of the parking restrictions of this ordinance, the <br /> officer finding it shall take its registration number and other <br /> information displayed on the vehicle which may identify its user, and <br /> affix conspicuously to such vehicle a notice in writing, on a form <br /> provided by the Chief of Police, for the operator to answer to the <br /> charge against him within twenty-four (24) hours, at a place specified <br /> in the notice. <br /> Any person who wilfully neglects to answer to the charges <br /> set forth in the notice so affixed shall be guilty of a violation <br /> of this ordinance, regardless of the charges for which the notice <br /> was originally issued. <br /> -9- <br />
