Sheet 5 shows energy code information and requirements that are from previous codes <br /> (probably 2006 vintage). Current code requirements should be provided for fenestration <br /> and skylight U-factors (0.30/0.58) and ceiling R-value (R-49). Table R402.1.1 <br /> 2. The air leakage testing requirements of Section R402.4.1.2 should be shown on the plans. <br /> 3. A minimum of 75% of the new permanent lighting should be shown to be high-efficacy <br /> lamps. The details specify sill anchor bolts at 48" spacing, but the shear wall schedule <br /> on Sheet S-4.0 includes spacing that is less than 48". Note that SW Mark 2 is <br /> specified in the Foundation Plan on Sheet 3 where Section 3/S-2 is <br /> referenced. SW Mark 3 is referenced in the Existing Main Floor plan along the <br /> original south building wall (i.e., north wall of the Utility Room). <br /> b. The minimum required clearance of 8" to grade for all wood framing, sheathing, <br /> and siding should be shown to avoid decay-resistant construction. IBC Section <br /> 2304.12.1.2 <br /> c. Detail 2/S-2.0 indicates the footing dimensions "per schedule" and "per plan"; <br /> neither appear to be provided. <br /> 3. The Main Floor and Upper Floor plans on Sheet 2 reference multiple sections on Sheet <br /> S6 which is not provided. <br /> 4. The floor plans should be clarified to show which existing walls will be provided with <br /> supplemental sheathing. <br /> 5. The roof framing should be shown on the plans. <br /> 6. The Master Bathroom in the Upper Floor plan has cantilever floor and roof framing on <br /> the east side. The framing should be specified. <br /> 7.
