For 3-wire systems, 4-wire cable <br /> 10 shall be installed between the button and control unit so that the system is backwards <br /> 11 compatible with older models. <br /> 111 12 <br /> 13 All manufacturer recommended setup equipment, required to program, adjust and <br /> 14 make operational the pedestrian pushbutton stations, shall be furnished with each <br /> I15 16 complete pushbutton system. <br /> 17 The pedestrian pushbutton station shall be able to be programmed by laptop <br /> I 18 software wireless remote configurator that allows the selection of options and <br /> 19 programmable messages. <br /> 20 <br /> I 21 All pedestrian pushbutton station equipment shall be the same make or model from <br /> 22 one manufacturer. Each station shall be latest model, capable of wireless <br /> 23 communication for programming and data collection from a remote location. <br /> 24 I 25 The contractor shall coordinate with the City of Everett Traffic Office through the <br /> 26 Engineer for site specific message following installation. <br /> 27 <br /> I28 29 Polara iNX Pedestrian push button stations are an approved model. <br /> 30 <br /> I 31 CNH 8-20.3(10) SERVICE.RTF <br /> 32 8-20.3(10) Service, Transformer, and Intelligent Transportation System <br /> 33 (ITS) Cabinets <br /> I 34 <br /> 35 Section 8-20.3(10) is supplemented with the following: <br /> 36 <br /> I 37 A) Risers on PUD Poles or City owned poles: If the PUD does not install <br /> 38 a pedestal at the base of the service pole, the Contractor shall be <br /> 39 responsible to install conduit risers on PUD or City owned poles as <br /> 40 necessary for electrical service connections. Conduit risers shall be <br /> 41 constructed in accordance with Everett Standard Plan No. 820. The <br /> 42 bottom 10' of the riser shall be galvanized steel or Schedule 80 PVC <br /> 43 and the remaining portion shall be Schedule 40 PVC or Schedule 80 <br /> I 44 PVC. The riser shall be installed on a standoff with 4" minimum <br /> 45 clearance between the conduit and the pole. A weather head is <br /> 46 required and shall be located 8" below the secondary power lines.
