CITY OF EVERETT SPECIAL PROVISIONS <br /> Contractor shall notify City of Everett Transit at 425-257-8984 and Community <br /> Transit at 425-348-7100 of all street closures or delays at least 24 hours in advance <br /> to enable rerouting of buses. <br /> Contractor shall notify the property owners at least 72 hours in advance to enable them <br /> to remove vehicles parked in the vicinity of Work. Towing vehicles shall be the <br /> ' responsibility of the Contractor and no additional payment will be made. <br /> Further supplement 1-07.23(1) by adding the following: <br /> 1-07.23(1)A General Requirements Traffic <br /> (******) <br /> The following general requirements apply to all Work on the Project: <br /> Prepare and submit to Engineer a Traffic Control Plan in accordance with 1- <br /> 1 10.2(2) TRAFFIC CONTROL PLANS. <br /> Refer to 1-08.4(2) SPECIAL CONSTRUCTION CONSTRAINTS regarding <br /> construction constraints resulting from traffic control. <br /> ' Notify all affected property owners prior to commencing the barricading of <br /> streets, sidewalks and driveways. <br /> All business driveways shall remain open except as necessary to permit curing <br /> of construction materials or for short periods of time as required for <br /> excavations. However, at least one driveway per business shall remain open <br /> to vehicular traffic at all times unless otherwise approved by the Engineer and <br /> affected property owner in writing. Two driveways shall remain open for drive <br /> thru business at 4104 Hoyt except as necessary to permit curing of construction <br /> materials or for short periods of time as required for excavations. <br /> Signs and barricades shall be supplemented by lanterns or flasher units during <br /> the hours of darkness. <br /> Drivers of motor vehicles used in connection with the construction shall obey <br /> traffic rules posted for such location in the same manner and under the same <br /> restrictions as provided for the drivers of private vehicles. <br /> ' Conduct the Work, at all time throughout the project, in such a manner as will <br /> obstruct and inconvenience vehicular and pedestrian traffic as little as possible. <br /> Keep the streets, sidewalks and private driveways open except for the brief <br /> periods when actual Work is being done. <br /> 1-07.24 Rights of Way <br /> Deletel-07.24 and substitute the following: <br /> ' Street right of way lines, limits of easements, and limits of construction permits are <br /> indicated on the Plans. The Contractor's construction activities shall be confined within <br /> these limits, unless arrangements for use of private property are made. <br /> ' Generally, the City will have obtained, prior to bid opening, all rights of way and <br /> easements, both permanent and temporary, necessary for carrying out the Work. <br /> Exceptions to this are noted on the Plans. <br /> Whenever any of the Work is accomplished on or through property other than public <br /> right of way, the Contractor shall meet and fulfill all covenants and stipulations of any <br /> easement agreement obtained by the City from the owner of the private property. Copies <br /> of the easement agreements may be included in the Contract Documents or made <br /> available to the Contractor as soon as practical after they have been obtained by the <br /> Engineer. <br /> ' The Contractor shall not proceed with any portion of the Work in areas where right of <br /> way, easements or rights of entry have not been acquired until the Engineer certifies to <br /> Water Main Replacement"W" Division 1 —GENERAL REQUIREMENTS April, 2022 <br /> WO No.—UP3766 SP—89 <br />
