<br /> Bid Item 22 - Dispose of Existing Fire Hydrant
<br /> Measurement and Payment: Unit Price per Each (EA)
<br /> The unit contract price for Remove Existing Fire Hydrant shall constitute full compensation
<br /> for all labor, materials, tools and equipment necessary for removing and disposing of the
<br /> existing hydrant and for removing auxiliary gate valve box after COE Water Department
<br /> personnel closes gate valve, and cutting, capping existing hydrant lead pipe, providing and
<br /> compacting backfill in-place.
<br /> Bid Item 23 - Salvage Existing Fire Hydrant
<br /> Measurement and Payment: Unit Price per Each (EA)
<br /> The unit contract price for Salvage Existing Fire Hydrant shall constitute full compensation
<br /> for all labor, materials, tools and equipment necessary for salvaging the existing hydrant,
<br /> and delivering it to the City Storage Yard on Railroad Avenue and for removing auxiliary
<br /> gate valve box after COE Water Department personnel closes gate valve, and cutting,
<br /> capping existing hydrant lead pipe, providing and compacting backfill in-place.
<br /> Bid Item 24 - Assist COE in Connecting to Existing Watermain
<br /> Measurement and Payment: Unit Price per Each (EA)
<br /> The unit contract price to Assist COE in Connecting to Existing Watermain shall constitute
<br /> full compensation for all labor, materials, tools and equipment necessary for connection to
<br /> existing system, in accordance with 7-09.3(19)A including, yet not limited to; all costs for
<br /> traffic control, excavation, shoring, dewatering, haul and disposal of excavated materials,
<br /> furnishing, installing and compacting bedding and backfill materials; labor and equipment
<br /> required for the complete installation of the connection as specified.
<br /> Unit contract price shall include all coordination efforts with the City and assistance as City
<br /> forces make the actual connection. Connection of a water service line to the watermain
<br /> and connection of new water service line to existing water service line will not be
<br /> considered a connection to the existing system.
<br /> Bid Item 25 - Corporation Stop w/Service Saddle, 1-inch
<br /> Measurement and Payment: Unit Price per Each (EA).
<br /> The unit contract price for Corporation Stop w/Service Saddle, -Inch shall constitute full
<br /> compensation for all labor, materials, tools and equipment necessary for installation of a
<br /> new corporation stop and service saddle in accordance with Parts A and B of Detail 1/D1 of
<br /> the Plans, including yet not limited to, furnishing and installing the service saddle and
<br /> corporation stop; trench excavation and dewatering, pavement removal, backfill and
<br /> compaction; and testing the connection.
<br /> Bid Item 26 - Service Saddle and Valve Assembly, 2-inch
<br /> Measurement and Payment: Unit Price per Each (EA)
<br /> The unit contract price for Service Saddle and Valve Assembly, 2-Inch, shall constitute full
<br /> compensation for all labor, materials, tools, and equipment necessary for providing
<br /> assembly in accordance with Parts A, B, C, and L of COE Standard Drawing No. 502
<br /> including yet not limited to, furnishing and installing the service saddle, brass nipple, gate
<br /> valve, valve box; trench excavation and dewatering, pavement removal, backfill and
<br /> compaction; and testing the connection.
<br /> Note: This unit price will also apply to furnishing and installing blind flange, 2-inch NST tap
<br /> and connecting to the 2-inch HDPE pipe shown on Detail 5, Drawing D1.
