• • REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLICATIONS FOR MASTER METERED SERVICE ADJACENT TO CITY OF EVERE I I TRANSMISSION LINES Direct water services to property owners fronting or near City of Everett water transmission mains are, not encouraged. The purpose of such mains is to transmit large volumes of water to City reservoirs. They are not designed for local water distribution. Accordingly, water service from such mains is not considered to be within the customary water distribution system of the City of Everett. The undersigned applicant agrees to accept water service subject to the following conditions which are not applicable to other City of Everett water customers: 1. The City of Everett will provide a.service tap only to its right-of-way boundary. 2. Service will be provided to those customers.that comply with ordinance #1374-87 and only where the surrounding water districts will not provide.service for the applicant. A written statement from the associated districts, denying service, must be obtained prior to applying to service,from Everett. 3. Applicant agrees to participate in future water districts when established and to relinquish the individual • service at that time. 4. Applicant has County or State approved plans for water service and fire protection, if applicable. 5. Access to the property is provided and approved by those parties concerned, public or private, when the applicant does not front on our transmission main right-of-way. (If private property is crossed, an easement must be recorded with property description. If public property must be crossed, then written permission from the appropriate authority is required.) 6. Applicant has County or State approved plans for water service and fire protection, if applicable. 7. Applicant will provide any information required by the Everett Public Works Department related to applicants service facilities. 8. Applicant will be required to provide backflow prevention when judged necessary. 9. Applicant agrees to pay the actual cost of the service per the most current revision of EMC 14.16.740.
