ACI318-04 should be revised to the 2014 edition. <br />Architectural <br />This comment has not been completely addressed. Detail 03/A9.01 should be insulated as an <br />exterior wall (i.e., R-21 plus R-4ci) unless the garage foundation Details 14A/A9.01 and <br />14B/A9.01 are insulated and provided with a thermal break from the interior slab -on -grade. <br />Note that additional action is required for the foundation details per Architectural Comment 5 <br />and Structural Comment 17. See WSEC-15 Table R402.1.1. <br />,",/This comment has not been completely addressed. The original comment stated that Detail <br />14/A9.01 shows a thickened slab edge at the slab -on -grade (SOG). Detail 14A/A9.01 has been <br />provided, and the original detail appears to have been modified into Detail 14B/A9.01. Note that <br />additional action is required for the foundation details per Architectural Comment 4 and <br />Structural Comment 17. See Section R106.1.1. The following comments should be addressed: <br />b. This comment has not been addressed. Sheet A1.01-A and the building sections on Sheets <br />A5.01 through A5.03 specify R-10 insulation under the SOG. Detail 14 does not show the <br />insulation, and does not provide a thermal break per Detail E/S1. The detail should be <br />revised. <br />c. Detail 14A appears to be a duplicate of Detail E/S1, and should be removed. <br />d. Detail 14B does not appear consistent with the foundation plans and should be revised. <br />Note that the location of this details does not appear to be specified in the plans and cannot <br />be fully reviewed; the location where the detail applies should be specified. <br />his comment has not been addressed. The original comment stated that Detail 13/A9.01 <br />appears to include a steel beam that does not appear to include steel framing. The response <br />indicates revisions have been performed to the structural drawings, which does not appear to <br />be correct. In addition, the detail has been crossed out, but it appears the curb is still required <br />in the design for the skylight system. The detail and response should be revised. See Section <br />R106.1.1. <br />This comment has not been addressed; the original comment is provided below. Detail <br />10/A9.01 has been deleted, which does not address the comment. The structural response <br />states that revised details have been provided, but these cannot be located. In addition, the <br />structural response states that the interior guards, presumed to occur at the stairs and balcony <br />area, have been designated as deferred submittals. However, a Deferred Submittal section has <br />not been provided in the drawings, and design criteria for the rails has not been specified. <br />Deferred submittals are required to be reviewed and stamped by the designer -of -record prior to <br />construction.
