C. Points of Contact <br /> The EPD Deputy Chief of Operations,or designee and the NW CRU Supervisor will be the points <br /> of contact for any work done under this MOU. <br /> D. Geographical Location <br /> For the purpose of this MOU the Anti-Crime Team will focus primarily within the jurisdiction of <br /> the City of Everett <br /> E. Commitment of Resources <br /> The City of Everett agrees to commit the following resources to the project as appropriate and <br /> available: <br /> • The Special Operations Team based out of the Everett Police Department <br /> • Joint EPD/DOC office space as available <br /> • EPD identification and access to precincts for qualified personnel <br /> • Training for the Special Operations team as appropriate and available <br /> • A portable radio for use by the designated DOC Specialist as available. <br /> The DOC agrees to commit the following: <br /> • 1 DOC Specialist commissioned by WA DOC under RCW 10.93.020. <br /> • A laptop computer for use in the field with access to appropriate WA DOC databases. <br /> • Training for the WA DOC Specialist to include but not limited to:Defensive Tactics,Firearm <br /> proficiency,de-escalation,medical,current legal considerations and legislative mandates, <br /> • 1 vehicle equipped with emergency lights and siren.This vehide will be maintained by DOC. <br /> F. Supervision <br /> The EPD Anti-Crime Team sergeant shall supervise the day-to-day operations of the team.In some <br /> cases,EPD may have operational control of an event involving the team,while in other cases,DOC <br /> may have operational control of the event involving the team.However,each team member will <br /> remain formally under the supervision of their respective agencies and their supervisors in their <br /> respective agencies.The Anti-Crime Team Sergeant and the NW CRU Supervisor will consult with <br /> each other periodically about missions and operations. <br /> Each team member shall be responsible for complying with their respective agency's policies and <br /> procedures. <br /> Each agency shall be responsible for their respective team members in the event of emergency <br /> responses,use of force events,or injuries or accidents. <br /> Neither DOC members nor EPD officers are agents of the other agency nor shall act as the agent of <br /> the other. <br /> Washington State K12798 Page 2 of 6 <br /> Department of Corrections 22VVC <br />
