RESOLUTION NO. <br />EVERETT <br />WASH I NGTON <br />A RESOLUTION waiving public bidding requirements and approving a multiple -year sole -source <br />purchase of Rotork actuators and gearboxes from Beaver Equipment, Inc. <br />WHEREAS, <br />A. The City chose Rotork actuators and gearboxes as part of the upgrades and maintenance of the <br />original large valves at the Water Filtration Plant; and <br />B. Beaver Equipment is the only authorized source of Rotork actuators and gearboxes in the <br />Northwest region; and <br />C. As long as Beaver Equipment, Inc. is the only authorized provider of Rotork replacement parts, it <br />is in the City's best interest to approve the sole source purchase for multiple years rather than <br />on an annual basis. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT: <br />There is clearly and legitimately only one source capable of supplying Rotork actuators and gearboxes <br />for the large valves at the Water Filtration Plant, the City hereby waives competitive bidding <br />requirements and authorizes the purchase of replacement parts from Beaver Equipment, Inc. <br />Councilmember introducing resolution <br />Passed and approved this day of , 2022. <br />Council President <br />
