• <br /> • <br /> Electrical installation used in connection with oil <br /> burning equipment shall be installed in accordance with the <br /> existing ordinance of the City of Everett. <br /> Section 13: No oil burner shall be installed in <br /> connection with any boiler or heater unless said boiler or heater <br /> is connected with a chimney having sufficient draft to insure <br /> the safe operation of the burner, nor unless the room containing <br /> the boiler or heater is provided with adequate ventilation which <br /> cannot be closed to assure continuous complete combustion, which <br /> ventilation shall be by means other than doorways. <br /> No dampers shall be installed or used in a smokepipe <br /> between the burner and chimney and any regulation or draft <br /> necessary shall be accomplished through the dampers in front only. <br /> 'When no increase in fire oreXPermitted hazard <br /> thewill <br /> FireeChiefed, <br /> air inlets to chimneys may b <br /> No oil burner shall be installed or used in connection <br /> with any steam or hot water boiler or warm air furnace unless <br /> the boiler or furnace is enclosed as required by the Building <br /> Code . <br /> Section 14: Oil burners and oil burning equipment <br /> shall be operated and maintained in accordance with the follow- <br /> ing provisions: <br /> (a) No oil shall be placed in any tank for use in any <br /> oil burner or oil burning equipment until such tank has been duly <br /> inspected and approved by the Fire Chief of the City of Everett, <br /> and a permit therefor has been issued by said Fire Chief. <br /> (b) No oil company or distributor, or agent of any <br /> oil company or distributor, shall place oil in any storage or <br /> supply tank for use in any oil burner or oil burning equipment <br /> where a permit of approval issued by the Fire Chief cannot be <br /> shown. <br /> No oil company or distributor, or agent of any <br /> oil company or distributor, shall place oil in any storage <br /> o <br /> supply tank for use in any oil burner or oil burning q <br /> nt <br /> which is not equipped with a vent pipe of at least one inch <br /> diameter, except in the installation of an underground storage <br /> tank when permission shall be granted by the Fire Chief of the <br /> City of Everett. <br /> -10- <br />
