Main Floor Demolition Plan on Sheet A-2.1 shows removal of interior walls at multiple locations. <br /> Documentation shall be submitted verifying that the walls are non-loading bearing walls. The <br /> documentation may include, but is not limited to, floor, roof, and wall framing plans <br /> demonstrating the gravity framing load paths. Where the walls are load bearing, framing plans, <br /> sections, and details shall be provided to modify the load paths. Structural calculations shall be <br /> submitted for review that substantiate framing modifications. See IBC Sections 1603.1, 1604.1, <br /> and 1604.4. <br /> Continuing with the previous comment, the"General Plan Notes"section on Sheet S-2.1 shall <br /> include a requirement for a structural engineer to verify that partition walls are non-load <br /> bearing prior to demolition. See IBC Section 1704.6.1 Item 5. <br /> This review has been performed for general compliance with the building codes as adopted and <br /> amended by the state of Washington and the city of Everett. Corrections and comments made <br /> during the review process do not relieve the project from compliance with code and permit <br /> requirements.
