Please review and respond to the comments <br />below. In order for the processing of your application to continue, it will be necessary to <br />provide the Building Division with two complete new sets of construction documents reflecting <br />the corrections requested. Please include a response letter which indicates how the corrections <br />were resolved. <br />Accessibility <br />1. The lower level plan shows the demolition of four reception desks for appointment <br />check -in, and the relocation of an existing reception desk to provide this primary <br />function in one location, as compared to four. <br />a. Please clarify how this alteration complies with IBC section 1109.12.3 and ICC <br />A117.1-2009 section 904.3 for accessible service counters, and IBC section <br />3411.7 alterations affecting an area containing a primary function. <br />All codes cited refer to the 2012 International Building Code (IBC), the 2012 International Fire <br />Code (IFC), the 2012 International Mechanical Code (IMC), and the 2012 Washington State <br />Energy Code (WSEC), as amended by the State of Washington and adopted by the City of <br />Everett. The current IBC referenced standard for accessible design is the 2009 "Accessible and <br />Usable Buildings and Facilities" (ICC/ANSI A117.1). Federal ADA regulations and standards may be <br />more restrictive. These comments address building issues only. Additional revisions or additions <br />may be required by other departments (such as Utilities, Traffic, Planning or Fire).
