SOILS
Per the Geotechnical Engineering Report by Terracon, dated May 15, 2020, existing fill was •
observed at the exploration locations to depths of 6 to 15 feet below ground surface (bgs); loose to
111
medium dense sand silt to about 15 bgs; and very stiff to hard sand with silt below about 15 bgs.
Each of the borings disclosed loose to medium dense fill to depths of up to 15 feet bgs. The fill
deposits varied from sand to silt and had varying organics content. The depth of the fill deposits
roughly corresponds to the approximate depth of the Dogwood Elm Creek culvert, a 24-inch culvert
installed below the site, and the interpreted relic drainage basin that existed prior to filling and
reclaiming of the currently developed areas.
Groundwater was not observed in during the geotechnical investigation effort. However,Terracon's
Draft Cleanup Action Plan dated March 18, 2020 reported two supplemental subsurface
investigations (April 2019 and June 2019) at the project site as a part of a Remedial Investigation.
The groundwater levels reported in the Draft Cleanup Action Plan were used in the geotechnical
analysis. In general, the groundwater table ranges from approximately 5 to 10 feet bgs. See
Appendix B for the Geotechnical Engineering Report and Draft Cleanup Action Plan.
I
I
NAVIX Everett VA Clinic—Everett, WA 6
