Section 21 : STREET DEPARTMENT: There shall be the following named officers and assistants in the Street Department , to-tit: One Superintendent; One Clerk; One Auto Repairman; Three Foremen; Seven Truck Drivers ; One Orush.erman; One Donkeymen; Two uraderr,en; One '_'ard.man; One Night Watchmen; One Dumpman; Three Push-upLen; Five Skilled Laborers; One or more Day Laborers, end One Relief Clerk (pert time ) . Said officers, assistants and employees shall per- from the duties pertaining to such office as indicated by the name of their respective employm.entst and such other duties as the Superintendent of Streets or Commissioner of Public Works shall , from time to time, authorize and direct . Section 22: W1TER DEPARTMENT. NT. There shall be the following named officers, assistants and employees in the -Hater Department of the City of Everett, to-wit: One Superintendent (part time ) ; One ueneral Fore- man; One Distribution System Foreman; One Chief Clerk; One Inventory Clerk; One Accountant; Three Water Control Station Operators; One headworks Operator; Two Senior Engineering Aids ; Three Foremen; One Welder; One Blacksmith; One Black- smith' s helper; One Inspector; One Assistant Inspector; Three heavy Equipment Operators; Four 'Truck Drivers; One Machinist; One auto hepairman ; One Assistant Auto Repairman; Two Servicemen; One :servicemen' s Helper; Cne Water Repairman; One Carpenter ; One Relief Operator; One Basin Patrolmen; Ten Skilled Laborers; One Senior Engineer, and One or more Day Laborers (part time ) . The Superintendent shall be in general charge and have supervision of the :rater Department. The other officers, assistants and employees shall perform such duties as pertain to the nature of their office and ES authorized and directed by the Superintendent of the rater System and ComnJissioner of Public Works. Section 23: It is the purpose of this Ordinance to fix the number and description of the permanent assistants, deputies and employees in the various offices of the City of Everett, and nothing herein contained shall be construed so as to preve :t the various officers and various heads of the Departments of the City of Everett from employing, with the consent of the City Council , such additional employees, es, from time to time , may be necessary in the proper discharge of the duties of such offices, or from discontinuing such temporary employees when the necessity therefor has ceased to exist. -6-
