Such pennants shall be of white material in the <br /> shape of an equilateral triangle with sides eiehteen (15) inches in len'th, and <br /> shall have in the center thereof the prescribed basic insigne of the United States <br /> office of Civilian Defense entirely in red and white an-' six (6) inches in diameter. <br /> Such insigne shall consist of the letters "CD' in red, centered in a white erquil- <br /> ateral triangle upon a circular field of red, in the form of the aliq_ue emblem <br /> covered by United States Letters latent No. D-129797 ,granted October 7, 1944 <br /> O A mask or shield, as hereinafter described, for use during hours of dark- <br /> ness, shall be fastened securely over the lighted right front headlam-o: of the auto- <br /> mobile, truck, or other vehicle, or over the auxiliary headli 'ht of a motorcycle. <br /> Such mask or shield shall be made of any suite ole opaque material designed so that <br /> ft can be easily and quickly secured to the headl ..mc, and shall embody the above <br /> described basic insigne of the United States Office of Civilian Defense, two and <br /> one half (2-D to three (3) inches in diameter, with the leLLers "CD" and 'uh. three <br /> segments of the surrounding circular field of the basic insigne in translucent <br /> green and wi -h the triangle opaque. <br /> O.
