City of Everett Water Treatment Facility Blower Building <br /> <br />Scope of Services 3 <br />Assumptions and Meetings <br />1. Project management duties are associated with design, and bid assistance. <br />2. Up to two (2) project management meetings will be held via phone per month. One hour <br />of project manager time will be required for each meeting including preparation, <br />attendance, follow-up, and notes. <br />3. Invoices will be BHC standard invoice format. Each invoice will have a distinct number <br />for tracking purposes. <br />4. Incidental miscellaneous expenses (printing, travel reimbursement, etc.) do not require <br />submittal of backup statements. <br />Deliverables <br />1. Scope of Services, Schedule (Gantt chart in MS Project or Excel), and Budget (e-mailed <br />Adobe PDF file) for engineering services during construction will be prepared as an <br />amendment to the contract at the end of this project. <br />2. Monthly reports and invoices (one [1] copy with invoice, e-mailed Adobe PDF file). <br />3. Written summary notes describing decisions, direction, action items, or issues <br />associated with meetings (e-mailed Adobe PDF files). <br />Task 200 – Design <br />Objectives <br />To provide bid-ready plans, specifications, and opinion of probable construction costs (OPCC). <br />The design will include new pre-engineered building and concrete foundation, installation of new <br />and existing blowers, electrical and controls for the blowers, and heating and ventilation for the <br />building. <br />The City has already purchased the new blower. <br />The existing blower building will remain. <br />BHC Services <br />Prior to starting the 60% design, a Basis of Design Report (BODR), will be developed for <br />comments, questions, and input from the City. The BODR will provide design criteria and a <br />preliminary blower building layout. A draft and final report will be submitted. <br />The design services for this task will be conducted under three (3) separate subtasks <br />(60 percent design, 95 percent design, and final design). The work to be included under each <br />subtask is as follows: <br />Subtask 201 – Basis of Design Report: <br />1. Prepare a draft and final BODR to include design criteria and a preliminary blower <br />building layout for the two (2) blowers and supporting electrical equipment. The final <br />report will incorporate City’s draft comments. <br />2. One (1) meeting (via MS Teams) with the City to review the draft BODR. BHC will <br />prepare notes to document decisions. <br />Subtask 202 – Sixty (60) Percent Design: <br />1. Determining preliminary floor plan layouts, egress, lighting, and security.
