A. What is your approach to this project? List the primary features or work tasks. Describe
your execution, management, and control of the project.
PROPROJECT UNDERSTJECT UNDERSTANDINGANDING
Everett Transit has already taken the initial steps toward fleet electrification, with the first battery electric bus (BEB) put into
service in 2018 and having sevens BEBs as part of its current fleet with ten more set to replace diesel buses in 2023;
charging infrastructure at the Operations Center, and inductive chargers to be installed at College Station, Everett Station,
Seaway Transit Center and Eclipse Mill Park.
City of Everett has the advantage of access to affordable, clean electricity provided by the Snohomish County Public Utility
District's hydro-electric, wind and solar energy production, making electrification of Everett Transit's fleet of 42 standard
size buses and 29 paratransit vans an attractive possibility. Developing a long-term fleet transition plan now will help
Everett Transit ensure that these vehicles are replaced in a manner consistent with the agency's vision for the future and
that of the City overall as reflected in documents such as the City's Climate Action Plan. The Fleet Electrification Transition
Plan will also help support future applications for funding, including the FTA Low- and No-Emission and Bus and Bus
Facilities grant programs and the Washington State DOT Green Transportation Capital Grant Program.
The Planning Communities Team will leverage our unique blend of expertise and comprehensive experience in transit,
electrification, emissions, funding, policy, energy, workforce, and other areas to deliver a successful plan that exceeds all
requirements and agency goals.
APPROAPPROAACH TCH TO TO TASKASKSS
Our team's approach to the RFP Fleet Electrification Transition Plan tasks is highlighted on the following pages:
• Task 1 - Fleet Assessment
• Task 2 - Funding Needs Assessment
• Task 3 - Policy Assessment
• Task 4 - Facilities Assessment
• Task 5 - Partnership Assessment
• Task 6 - Workforce Analysis
• Task 7 - Equitable Service Planning
• Task 8 - Draft, Final Draft, and Final Fleet Electrification Transition Plan
16
2.
