I <br /> 1 (March 13, 2012 APWA GSP) <br /> 2 <br /> 3 Revise this section to read: <br /> 4 <br /> 5 The Contractor shall submit *** 3 *** copies of a Type A Progress Schedule no later than I <br /> 6 at the preconstruction conference, or some other mutually agreed upon submittal time. <br /> 7 The schedule may be a critical path method (CPM) schedule, bar chart, or other standard <br /> 8 schedule format. Regardless of which format used, the schedule shall identify the critical I <br /> 9 path. The Engineer will evaluate the Type A Progress Schedule and approve or return the <br /> 10 schedule for corrections within 15 calendar days of receiving the submittal. <br /> 11 111 <br /> 12 1-08.4.RTF <br /> 13 1-08.4 Prosecution of Work <br /> 14 <br /> 15 Delete this section and replace it with the following: <br /> 16 <br /> 17 1-08.4 Notice to Proceed and Prosecution of Work <br /> 18 (July 23, 2015 APWA GSP) <br /> 19 <br /> 20 Notice to Proceed will be given after the contract has been executed and the contract <br /> 21 bond and evidence of insurance have been approved and filed by the Contracting <br /> 22 Agency. The Contractor shall not commence with the work until the Notice to Proceed <br /> 23 has been given by the Engineer. The Contractor shall commence construction activities <br /> 24 on the project site within ten days of the Notice to Proceed Date, unless otherwise <br /> 25 approved in writing. The Contractor shall diligently pursue the work to the physical <br /> 26 completion date within the time specified in the contract. Voluntary shutdown or slowing <br /> 27 of operations by the Contractor shall not relieve the Contractor of the responsibility to <br /> 28 complete the work within the time(s) specified in the contract. <br /> 29 <br /> 30 When shown in the Plans, the first order of work shall be the installation of high visibility <br /> 31 fencing to delineate all areas for protection or restoration, as described in the Contract. <br /> 32 Installation of high visibility fencing adjacent to the roadway shall occur after the <br /> 33 placement of all necessary signs and traffic control devices in accordance with 1-10.1(2). <br /> 34 Upon construction of the fencing, the Contractor shall request the Engineer to inspect the <br /> 35 fence.
