Section 01 22 20 MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT <br /> D. The Measurement and Payment for the following Bid Item descriptions apply to <br /> the corresponding Bid Items as included in the Proposal: <br /> Bid Item 1. Mobilization I <br /> The lump sum (LS) Contract Price for"Mobilization" shall constitute complete <br /> compensation for all of Contractor's pre-construction costs of preparatory <br /> work and operations including, but not limited to, those necessary for the 111 <br /> movement of his personnel, equipment, supplies and incidentals to the <br /> Project site; for the establishment of his offices, buildings and other facilities <br /> necessary for Work on this Project as required by these specifications, and <br /> State and local laws and regulations; for premiums on bonds and insurance <br /> for the Project, and for Work and operations that he must perform or costs he <br /> must incur before beginning production work on the various items on the <br /> Project. Mobilization also includes, but is not limited to, posting construction <br /> identification signs, securing permits, establishing safety and security <br /> measures, submitting a health and safety plan, documenting existing <br /> conditions, developing a Schedule of Values for lump sum bid items, <br /> preparing applications for payment, submitting the project schedule and <br /> updates, and providing product and material submittals. Also include <br /> mobilization costs for all subcontracted work along with all costs for utility <br /> coordination noted on the Drawings and in the Specifications. <br /> Items not included in this item include, but are not limited to, Work covered by <br /> a specific bid item or Work that is to be included in a bid item or items and <br /> profit, interest on borrowed money, overhead, or management costs. <br /> Partial payments will be made for the lump sum contract price for <br /> "Mobilization" as follows: <br /> • When 5% of the total original contract amount is earned from other bid <br /> items, 50% of the amount bid for mobilization, or 5% of the total <br /> original contract amount, whichever is the least, will be paid. <br /> • When 10% of the total original contract amount is earned from other <br /> bid items. 100% of the amount bid for mobilization, or 10% of the total <br /> contract amount, whichever is the least, will be paid. <br /> • Upon completion of all work on the project, payment of any amount <br /> bid for mobilization in excess of 10% of the total original contract <br /> amount will be paid. <br /> Bid Item 2. Construction Surveying <br /> The lump sum (LS) Contract Price for"Construction Surveying" includes, but <br /> is not limited to, all costs associated with furnishing all labor, tools, survey <br /> instruments materials, and other equipment necessary for: <br /> • Setting and monitoring the location, elevation, alignment and grade of <br /> the Work as shown in the Drawings. <br /> • Verifying elevations, prior to construction, of all existing structures and I <br /> pipes to which connections are to be made. <br /> • Verifying horizontal and vertical alignment of new and existing pipes. <br /> • All other survey needed or required. <br /> City of Everett 01 22 20-6 February 2023 <br /> Evergreen Pump Station Modifications <br /> UP3747-3 <br /> I <br />
