1 <br /> Section 01 22 20 MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT <br /> systems for any and all excavations for which a safe environment is required, <br /> in compliance with Washington Industrial Safety and Health ACT (RCW <br /> 49.17) and safety and health standards such as Safety Standards for <br /> Construction Work (Chapter 296-155 WAC), General Safety and Health 111 <br /> Standard (Chapter 296-24 WAC), General Occupational Health Standard <br /> (Chapter 296-22 WAC), and any other appropriate safety and health codes. <br /> The lump sum bid item also includes design and engineering by a licensed r <br /> professional engineer, as required, for shoring other than manufactured <br /> trench boxes. <br /> Measurement for trench excavation safety systems shall be the ratio of pipe <br /> installed and backfilled to the total quantity of pipe listed on the Proposal. <br /> Bid Item 8. Resolution of Utility Conflicts I <br /> The Force Account (FA) Contract Price for"Resolution of Utility Conflicts" <br /> shall be in accordance with Section 00 72 00 and WSDOT Specification <br /> Section 1-09.6 and has been included for specific miscellaneous work items <br /> listed below and for any additional work directed by the Owner that is not <br /> required by the original Contract to address any additional and unanticipated <br /> work associated with conflicts and construction circumstances determined not <br /> to be the responsibility or oversight of the Contractor. <br /> This bid item does not cover conflicts already identified in the Contract <br /> Documents that the Contractor is required to locate and pothole for <br /> confirmation. No payment will be made for conflicts from utilities that the <br /> Contractor has failed to have located or that have not been located <br /> sufficiently in advance to allow for changes in pipe alignment to avoid such <br /> conflicts. <br /> The amount indicated in the proposal for this bid item is to provide a common <br /> bid amount. The actual amount paid under this item may vary from no <br /> payment to the full amount of the bid item. The Contractor will be required to <br /> initiate discussion for any work they believe is additional work due to <br /> unanticipated conflicts and may be required to provide a cost estimate for the <br /> Owner's review and approval prior to the work being performed. Approved <br /> additional work performed under this bid item will be performed only after a <br /> work directive is issued by the Owner. Any additional work performed prior to <br /> the work directive being issued by the Owner will not be compensated under <br /> this bid item. <br /> Bid Item 9. Demolition <br /> The lump sum (LS) Contract Price for"Demolition" shall be full compensation <br /> for costs of all Work, labor, tools, materials, equipment, and incidentals <br /> necessary to remove the items or materials as identified in the Contract <br /> Documents and as necessary for construction. This includes core drilling, <br /> cutting existing cover plates and grating, chipping existing grout, removal of <br /> existing piping and conduits, and removal of existing gates and actuators. <br /> Bid Item 10. Relocate Electrical Conduits <br /> The lump sum (LS) Contract Price for"Relocate Electrical Conduits" shall <br /> constitute full compensation for all Work, labor, materials, tools, and <br /> equipment necessary to relocate electrical conduits as shown on the <br /> Drawings and specified herein, and includes, but is not limited to excavating, <br /> City of Everett 01 22 20-8 February 2023 <br /> Evergreen Pump Station Modifications <br /> UP3747-3 <br /> I <br />
