<br /> Section 01 22 20 MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT
<br /> placing and compacting sand bedding and suitable native backfill material,
<br /> furnishing and installing conduit and fittings, connecting ends of new conduit
<br /> runs to existing conduits with couplings, warning tape, furnishing new wire
<br /> and cables, and pulling and terminating new wires and cables.
<br /> Bid Item 11. Groundwater Control
<br /> The lump sum (LS) Contract Price for"Groundwater Control" shall be full
<br /> compensation for costs of all Work, labor, tools, materials, equipment, and
<br /> incidentals necessary to size, design, implement, operate, and remove a
<br /> groundwater control system as identified in the Contract Documents,
<br /> specifically Section 31 23 19, and as necessary for construction.
<br /> Bid Item 12. Bypass Pumping
<br /> The lump sum (LS) Contract Price for"Bypass Pumping" shall be full
<br /> compensation for costs of all Work, labor, tools, materials, equipment, and
<br /> incidentals necessary to size, design, implement, operate, and remove a
<br /> bypass pumping system as identified in the Contract Documents, specifically
<br /> Section 01 50 00, and as necessary for construction.
<br /> Bid Item 13. Removal of Unsuitable Material
<br /> Measurement will only be made for materials removed at a depth of 6 inches
<br /> or greater below the typical pipe trench bottom (lower limit of pipe zone) and
<br /> below the aggregate base material for structures. The quantities of authorized
<br /> unsuitable material excavation paid for by the Owner shall be computed from
<br /> in-place, field measurements and estimates made by the Owner or Engineer.
<br /> The unit Contract Price per cubic yard (CY) for"Removal of Unsuitable
<br /> Material" shall constitute full compensation for all costs of the Work, labor,
<br /> materials, tools, equipment, and incidentals necessary to remove unsuitable
<br /> foundation material within excavations for pipelines and structures. The unit
<br /> contract price includes excavating, loading, hauling, temporary stockpiling,
<br /> and properly disposing off site of unsuitable material from the trench bottom.
<br /> For the purpose of establishing a common basis for evaluating bids, an
<br /> arbitrary quantity has been shown on the bid form and does not necessarily
<br /> represent the quantity, if any, of"Removal of Unsuitable Material"that may be
<br /> necessary for project work. Actual quantities will be determined in the field as
<br /> work progresses. Removal of unsuitable material work shall only be
<br /> conducted with approval from the Owner.
<br /> Furnishing imported replacement backfill material, Foundation Material Class
<br /> A, from a Contractor-supplied source will be paid for under the Bid Item
<br /> "Foundation Material, Class A".
<br /> Bid Item 14. Foundation Material, Class A
<br /> Measurement for Foundation Material, Class A shall be by the ton, recorded
<br /> on certified weight tickets, and placed within the limits of dimensions defined
<br /> in the Work, descriptions for other bid items, shown or specified in the
<br /> Contract Documents, in accordance with City of Everett Standard Drawings,
<br /> or as otherwise approved by the Owner.
