I <br /> Section 01 22 20 MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT <br /> The unit Contract Price per ton (TN) for"Foundation Material, Class A" shall <br /> constitute full compensation for all Work, labor, tools, materials, and <br /> equipment required to furnish, place, and compact foundation material as <br /> specified in the Specifications and shown on the Drawings. <br /> The costs for over-excavation, removal, haul, and disposal of unsuitable <br /> subgrade material below the pipe zone, is included under the Bid Item <br /> "Removal of Unsuitable Material". <br /> Bid Item 15. Crushed Surfacing Base Course <br /> Measurement for crushed surfacing base course will be by the ton as 1 <br /> recorded on certified weight tickets and limited to dimensions defined in the <br /> Work, descriptions for other bid items, shown or specified in the Contract <br /> Documents, in accordance with City of Everett Standard Drawings, or as I <br /> otherwise approved by the Owner. Crushed Surfacing Base Course material <br /> placed exceeding "neatline" quantities without advance authorization by the <br /> Owner will not be paid. <br /> Measurement for crushed surfacing base course shall be limited to maximum <br /> trench widths defined in the work descriptions for other bid items and as <br /> shown or specified in the Contract Documents. 1 <br /> The unit Contract Price per (TN for"Crushed Surfacing Base Course" shall be <br /> full compensation for all Work, labor, material, tools, and equipment <br /> necessary to furnish, haul, stockpile, place, grade, and compact imported <br /> crushed surfacing base course for pipe bedding, precast junction vault <br /> subgrade, at top of excavations for pavement restoration subgrade, and as <br /> specified in the Specifications and shown on the Drawings. <br /> The unit price for crushed surfacing base course also includes all costs for <br /> controlling moisture content. This includes the cost of sprinkling during dry <br /> periods prior to placement of the crushed surfacing and while spreading and <br /> compacting the material. <br /> Also included in this bid item shall be the cost of all Work required to compact <br /> native subgrade soils, as well as to uniformly spread and compact the I <br /> crushed surfacing material. <br /> Bid Item 16. Gravel Borrow <br /> Measurement for Gravel Borrow shall be by the ton, recorded on certified <br /> weight tickets, and placed within the limits of dimensions defined in the Work, <br /> descriptions for other bid items, shown or specified in the Contract <br /> Documents, in accordance with City of Everett Standard Drawings, or as <br /> otherwise approved by the Owner. <br /> Measurement for gravel borrow shall be limited to maximum trench widths <br /> defined in the work descriptions for other bid items and as shown or specified <br /> in the Contract Documents. <br /> The unit Contract Price per TN for"Gravel Borrow", based on certified weight <br /> tickets, shall be full compensation for all Work, labor, material, tools and <br /> equipment necessary to furnish imported gravel borrow where it is <br /> determined native soils are not suitable for backfill of pipeline trenches, <br /> around the precast junction vault, and as specified in the Specifications and <br /> shown on the Drawings.
