I <br /> Section 01 22 20 MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT <br /> 2. All required potholing to verify locations of other utilities in or near the <br /> trench lines. <br /> 3. Trench excavation; hauling and proper disposal of excess and <br /> unsuitable excavated native materials; hand digging as necessary; <br /> installation of pipe, fittings, couplings, and polyethylene wrap (for <br /> ductile iron pipe); pressure testing; placing and compacting suitable <br /> native material; and grading the backfilled surface to match existing <br /> grade. No extra payment shall be made for removing, loading, <br /> hauling, and disposing of displaced and unsuitable material. The cost <br /> of furnishing, placing, and compacting pipe bedding and imported <br /> trench backfill are included under Bid Items for"Crushed Surfacing <br /> Base Course" and "Gravel Borrow". <br /> 4. Connecting the new relocated trench drain piping to the existing <br /> trench drain piping. <br /> ' S. Steel sheeting for covering open excavations left overnight to protect <br /> Owner staff from injury and property damage. <br /> 6. Protection, restoration, and repair of existing utilities, structures, <br /> equipment, and features that are to remain. <br /> 7. Ethafoam pads or sand backfill, as necessary, to maintain separation <br /> between the 10-inch tank drain pipeline and other pipes. <br /> i8. Extra depth, including excavation, backfill and compaction required to <br /> clear known buried utilities or other known obstacles. <br /> 9. Furnishing and installing warning tape over 10-inch tank drain pipe. <br /> Work required to avoid unexpected or unforeseen utilities shall be paid for <br /> under the Bid Item "Resolution of Utility Conflicts. The costs for potholing and <br /> excavation required to determine exact depths and locations of other utilities <br /> shall be included with this Work with no direct compensation made. <br /> Bid Item 20. Precast Junction Vault and 48-inch ALE Pipeline <br /> The lump sum (LS) Contract Price for"Precast Junction Vault and 48-inch <br /> ALE Pipeline" shall be full compensation for costs of all Work, labor, tools, <br /> materials, equipment, and incidentals necessary to furnish and install the <br /> precast junction vault, sections of new 48-inch aerated lagoon effluent(ALE) <br /> piping, and all associated appurtenances as shown on the Drawings and <br /> specified herein, and additionally, shall include, but not be limited to, the <br /> following: <br /> 1. Removal of structures or obstructions not specifically covered under <br /> other Bid Items. This shall include, but not be limited to, removal and <br /> disposal of the existing asphalt concrete pavement, sidewalk, curb, <br /> thrust blocks, miscellaneous landscaping, and sod as indicated on the <br /> Plans. <br /> 2.
